Lord Maul was the first to be seen in the movies. People who don't read the books (like most of the people who ask for the Maul look), don't know that he created the first one.

Exar Kun was the first person to wield a double bladed light sabre, not Lord Maul.

Bane lived for bout 1k years before SW4
Exar-Kun lived for bout 4k years before SW4
So Kun was the first one, he was the first to create such a weapon, he used it when he finally killed hes master! BTW it was a double blue one.

Darth Maul had a LONG an storied career that was not chronciled in the movie. Obi Wan was already a knight BEFORE he killed Maul.

Actually, we have no idea on what color his skin was, he tattoo'd his ENTIRE body with black and red tattoo's.

Well actually all we know is the color of his face and his hands for sure. We didn't see anything else in the movie and I won't give too much credit to the books around them. Sure, they offer great stories, but they differe from each other in many aspects due to the many authors writing them. Not even Lucas can ensure, that everything fits nicely together there.
So if you ask me Maul had a totally Pink skin with striking green dots all over them, but had his face and hands tattooed black and red ![]()
