Hmm, in a day and age where they can make exact replica limbs to match the origal perfectly from the outside... the same people with this technology wouldn't have advanced plastic surgery methods as well? Why can't a zabrak have human hair? Or any race have whatever hair they want anyway? Skin graphs and hairplugs should be easy enough to do in this period, I'd say.

NJ62, if the hair wasn't important enough to warrant a hotfix over "important" things, then it wasn't important enough for them to exploit in the first place -- in my opinion, of course.

Hm... still hasn't reverted for my guildmates.

I guess it doesn't really matter for them, though. They both have human looking skin. Everyone thinks they are human until they put helmets on. Hehe. No one has sent me a /tell asking for an afro in a couple of days so I'm happy.

It seems Twi'leks with hair weren't reverted. Any word on this?

I'm still very happy with this.. hopefully it will change EVERYONE back like it should.

Sure this world should have hair plugs etc..... ... but there are boundaries. I still do not think that a Zabrak would WANT hair. They are a proud and strong warrior race that could whomp a human! Why would they want to LOOK like one?

As one of the players who looked normal with an "exploit", I hope that they look back on this and realize that they could add a lot more customization that was "legitimate" at some point in the future. My female wookiee had a female Bothan hairstyle which left her with a few long bangs and a ponytail that lay flush to the back of her head, with no holes in the avatar or anything. Everyone said that she was one of the few ID's that really looked right . . . as a matter of fact, a lot of people who hadn't been able to tell a female wook thought that Shab was the way female wookiees were SUPPOSED to look, it looked so natural, and thought I had switched avatars from male to female.

Regardless, a lot of the "exploit" hairstyles actually looked a lot more SW than the ones we were given. While I completely understand the problem with everyone being able to do it and the trandos with lekkus and such, I do hope that a Master ID will go through some trouble and collect some combos that worked and looked right and present them as a suggestion list, so that the devs can add some more options with existing code.

I completely agree. Shabhaii, I know you from our server, and I know that you would never purposely make yourself look retarded to ruin someone else's immersion - I can picture what you're talking about and I'm sure it looked great.

Cross-species hairdos have made a lot of us realize that existing art can be adapted to expand our choices, and still remain true to Lucas. After all, there's no reason that bothan women have decent updos, but human women don't. Everyone can braid!

I think this bug was ignored until people started acting stupidly. The devs can't take away only the hairdos that look stupid, they have to take away everyone's. It's unfortunate, because we have been lobbying for wookiee female hair (which is in the concept art and everything) for months.

Anyway, with the space expansion coming out soon, I know the devs aren't going to be working frantically on new bobs. I agree that probably the best we can do right now is to use this bug to show that current art can be adapted to grant us more abilities, with minimal work for the devs.
