I just ask the customer what they feel is a suitable payment and go with that. I can get from 3k-20k for any form of ID. Either giving the customer the choice is always good

15k plus travel expenses for a stat migrate. If I'm at the salon already, 10k, no travel surcharges of course. 5k for a full set of holo-emotes, and the rest is tip only, asking the client to pay what the feel best the changes and my time are worth to them.

I'm a Master Image Designer on Eclipse and I've read several FAQ's and pricelists concering our services but I still don't feel comfortable with alot of things.. I'm leaning towards charging based on time spent. (Maybe 1k a minute and tips are appreciated?) What if a client comes in knowing exactly what they want and it takes about 15 seconds to fullfill their request? let's say it was skin color.. is it fair to charge 10k for that? I've often found if I keep my prices low I tend to run into big tippers.. if I ask 5k for a stat migration I'll usually end up getting 10-15k. Still, I want a way to ward off the people who want everything under the sun or the all time favorite "I dunno what I want, do what you think's best." and then you find out they're broke. Can I get some advice from ID's with lots of real world experience? (Or maybe that should be virtual world?) Thanks!

My prices are pretty simple. I work strictly for tips, except for stat migrations. Those are 20k, but anything else the customer wants done is thrown in for free... I mean, I'm gonna be tied to them for 10 minutes anyway, might as well give 'em a makeover.
I'm rather surprised that people charge so much for holoemotes. I throw them in for free with every ID session I do. They are the one thing about being an ID that I tend to think is fairly worthless... so, I don't mind giving them away.
I kind of agree with Fuschia here. I tend to only charge a flat rate for stat changes and go on tips for everything else. However I only charge 9k(which really just suitably pays for my time IMHO)for stat changes, simply because I can earn money in other ways. Because of that, I can perfectly understand an IDs desire to charge 10k or more, as it might be the only way they can earn payment. Same with the holoemote, I always give them for free because they use no resources and dont take up hardly any time.

My pricing scheme is really simple. 'Tip what you like,I don't set service charges.' My reason is, not every player can afford to pay set prices for our services. I get decent tips from those who can afford to do so, and it more then makes up for those who can't pay 10K for stat migrations.

don't have a "fixed" price for stat changes, although it hovers around 10k, with extra fee's for attitude, l33t speak and jedi titles showing... I actually tend to make more money off image changes, as when you create the exact "look" someone wanted they tend to be rather generous.

In my opinion, image design is a luxury and should be charged with a hefty price tag. I have a clientele of over 250 customers who agree as well. There's an old saying, you get what you pay for, and my talent was not meant to be begging for tips. My price guide is as followed:
Hair 2-8k: (origional colors complimentary with style)
New Hair colors (blue red etc): 15k
Face Forms: 5k/per
Body Forms: 8k/per
Skin color: 15k (includes marking color)
New Skin Color: 25k (includes marking color)
Tattoo/marking pattern: 8k
Age: 10k
Full Face makeover: 150k, my choice of design no customer input, 300k with customer input
Full Body makeover: 50k, my choice of design no customer input, 100k with customer input
Full body/Face: 350k my choice no customer input, 750k with customer input
Note: Trust me, sit back and enjoy the design, you'll save me time and yourself money and will look better than you could possibly imagine.
Stat Mitigations: You wont catch me dead in one of those starting city tents for less than 1 million, there are plenty of free designers who enjoy that kind of masochism see them if you dislike my price.
I makeabout750k -1million a day still, and never had an arguement with my prices. The key is marketing yourself well enough to snatch business from the free designers.

*Takes some notes*
I like yourreasoning, Nouva, and may just start charging similar prices once I get more experience with each species under my belt.
People that cannot afford one's prices for an Image Design should get out there doing more missions. Image Design is a luxury, not a right. Just like anyone sellingarmor, weapons, vehicles, droids, housing, furniture, harvesters, medpacks, buffs, spices, resources, rare items, or instruments, I expect to be paid my asking price.

I charge:
$10k for stats (still need the XP)
Tips for everything else, but I suggest around $1k.
This is based on the fact that I'm only 4,1,3,1.

I charge 10k for stats, which includes full emotes and a body changes (I get bored waiting on the 10 min timer).
All other services I have them tip what they feel is fair, unless they are being rude or taking wayyyy to much time to decided then the price starts at 2k and goes up from there.
I do this because a few times I sat there for more then 10 min waiting on someone to decided what they wanted. As far as the abuse, well, you can abuse me all you want, but you're going to pay for it!
If something is going to take awhile then I want to be paid for my time. That is whyI charge 10k for my stats (I've been known to negotiate this).

I like it! I'm thinking 5k per offense, and I would add hologrinders to my list. (Anybody with 10 or more master profession badges). So a l33t speaking jedi would be charged 25k prior to any attutide adjustments.
