Like most of you I ask for 10k on Stats... It's my only real set price. and for now my only real income. All other IDing I tell them to pay what they feel is fair.. Only got 0 credits once.. Petty, but I /addignored them so I wont have to worry about remebering there name to pretend I didn't hear them next time they come looking for my help

Had 2 players balk at my 10k price.. If players find my price to high. I uselly point them to another ID in the tent or tell them there free to shop around. As in real life.... I turned away 3 players becasue they refused to pay my prices... I have a 2nd account to xp grind if I want the xp only. Being non-combat and having Tailor to grind out I need to use my time well. Don't get me wrong I totally love ID and IDing other players. I even help out the few noobs I run across... But hey not many of these players will spend ten mintues of there time doing you a service free..

Only had one player argue my prices with me. I was nice about it. He was willing to pay 5k for the service. I feel having no set price for everything but one service is totally fair. And gives me the right toinsites on my price on that one item. I told him he was more then welcome to seek out a ID to do the service at his price. And that he most likly would find someone to do it for 5k somewhere. Yet he kept arrguing with me. So I told him his 2nd choice is to like me pickup a profession he needs the services of. He told me that he had done ID before and found my prices totally unreasoanble. I doubted he ever tried ID since I wouldn't ever thinkcomplaine to another ID after having tried it now myself.

Yeah but if he picks his starter class poorly he may need a stat migration to finish them!

I had a friend who started as a brawler and picked up Medic, except he couldn't /tendwound on anyone to finish the missions because he didn't have the Mind bar to do it. I had to Stat Migrate him so he could get beyond there.

...and it is precisely to such TRUE Newbies that I have given price breaks to on the few occasions when I have done so. I know that I did not learn that you can change your stats instantly while on the spacestation for MONTHS after I had made my first character. However, each of the profession quests only gets you around 2k to 3k, so even if someone were missing out on one they should still be able to come up with 10k the majority of the time.

Why I hate Beggars:

Miyax (my Wookiee ID on Scylla) was created using a Buddy Accout back in January. At that time, I did not plan on having 2 accounts (I had gotten the Buddy Account to use to get Entertainer Healing xp for a Dancer that I was working on at the time). Since I had no plans to have 2 accounts then, I emptied Miyax's inventory and tipped all her credits to the character I had on that server on my original account. In April, I was given a second copy of the game by a friend so I used the old Buddy Account for that and checked Miyax out only to find that she was way out in the middle of nowhere on Tatooine (not far from the Krayt Dragon Graveyard).

Since the town where I had logged Miyax out no longer existed and she had no money, mount, vehicle nor any weapons, I WALKED to the nearest player town where I got a delivery mission to Bestine, I then WALKED to Bestine, being careful to avoid all red dots on the radar from start to finish. I still find the fact that she made it without getting killed a true accomplishment.

Once in Bestine, I took Delivery Missions until I had enough money to buy a weapon.

I then proceeded to do every single Droid quest except for her original profession (brawler). Her stats were the original brawler stats so I also had to get a stat migration (for which I payed 10k... leaving me with a few hundred credits).

I did not decide to make her into an ID for several weeks and she was among the last 2 of my 6 MIDs. Today, she has 400k+ in the bank (not the wealthiest character, but still with a respectable amount of money).

The way I see it, if I can take a character with 0 credits andno weapon to where she is now, anyone else can do the same.

Don't have enough to pay for a stat migration? Do missions! Newbie? Do the Droid Quests AND missions! 10k is not thathard to get... even for a Newbie... and it's not like you have to have a stat migration every day. Stat migrations are a LUXURY.

I survived the CU

I can not survive the NGE
