The Image Designers of the Galaxies are concerned with the level of silence and diplomatic non-answers that they have been recieving in response to their greatest concerns. This in combination with the seeming game of "Pin the Tail on the Solution" that has been going on behind the scenes has lad many Image Designers to go into hiding and/or give up the profession. What plans do the developers have to restore an atmosphere of a "Pleasant and enjoyable gaming experience" to the profession ofImage Design?
I'll second the nomination.

I would like to nominate this question. Thank you
I need a specific question please. Something Thunderheart can go ask a designer about. Bri's question isgreat but it is not specific, is largely rhetorical, and contains jabs at the devs about their communication. Runesabre has been releasing what info he feels he can at a good rate imo.
I don't want to make up my own question ![]()
Something he can ask a designer, eh? I don't suppose "What were you smoking when you implemented the current ID XP gain system, and where can I get some?" would be any better?

Ok.. how about:
"What options are the Development Team exploring to fix the current 62-122-245 hour XPgating of Image Design? Is it possible to have an ETA on this, as it's causing many to rethink taking up Image Design at all?"
Here is my question.
"When Runesabre said that he wanted us to have critical function to make us more integrated with the rest of the game, he also said that he did not want to change the unique nature of image design and make us another buffing class. After the mini publish, it seems that the nature has completely changed, however. Many of us find ourselves completely swamped with stat migration requests and rarely get a chance to do traditional image design anymore. Furthermore, in the past there was a lot of interaction with the customer, trying to find out what they want and that was part of the appeal of image design. Now most of the time, we click the 'migrate stats' box and the customer walks away from the computer for 10 minutes. Are there any plans to try to make more like it used to be and bring back our 'unique nature'?"
We don't want you to have make up a question ether

How about this;
Thunderheart, When the ID community was asked for a question for you the overwhelming amount expressed concerns to the changes to ID sense 8.1, mainly stat migration, timers, XP gain and the overall feel/play style of profession. Could address this issue?
Naturally Im going to put in a shameless self-ploy and say....
"When do Image Designers get to "Design Images" and not players avatars and stats, but actual objects in the world. Refer to this link (this is where KWee would post a link to my ultr4 c00l l337 h4x0r ID IDea) . Also more holoemotes...who cares about space I can grow Flowers on my Head!!!!
Our options are this:
We can ask a "When" type question, which we will get a non-answer for.
We can ask a "How" type question, which would be a waste, because there isn't any aspect of our profession we can't figure out. I mean, aside from the UI nothing has changed since launch.
We can ask a "Why" question and get something diplomatic.
A "Who" or a "Where"question would be just... pointless.
Asking "Did" question would most certinly get an answer of "Yes".
All that leaves is "What". They haven't had a reason to tell us "what" in the last several weeks, and I don't expect them to start just because it is our turn to ask a question.
As to my question being largely retorical.. I disagree. I want to know point by point what they are discussing and what they are planning to fix the profession. If they can't tell me when, I am fine with that. I would appreciate a ballpark figure so I know if I should just go do something else for six months. To be quite honest though, I fully expect them to dodge any question we ask, for the simple reason that they have no reason to give us any information. If they did have a reason, they would have already. Getting past questions answered is not a benchmark for future performance. Since they are not going to give us any information anyway untill they are darned good and ready, all that is left to us is to show our displeasure in the amount they are communicating, and the simple fact that the solutions they are planning to put forward in patch nine do nothing to fix the profession.
