Your closest RL version of a Bio-engineer would be, *GASP*, A BIO ENGINEER!. The subject of genetically alteredor 'unnatural'fruits and vegetables is a hot topic in the European food industry at the moment and scientistshave already made breakthroughs inmaking 'modified' simple single-cell organisms.

Bounty Hunter

While not as common as your stereotypical old west Bounty Hunter, modern day Bounty Hunters track down and capture wanted criminals to claim rewards. They are rare, but they DO exist (George Lucas often described the original SW saga as a 'space western', and it has often been suggested that his original idea for 'Bounty Hunters' came from their real-life counterparts that were not unheard of in collecting rewards in the 'Wild West'.

Creature Handler

Eh... Umm.. A person who tames and trains wild and not-so-wild creatures... if there were no Creature Handlers in the world we would have no Zoo's, Police dogs, riding horses, or performing animals for movies, live shows, etc.

Pets used in a combat sense? You mean like police dogs or hunting dogs? Or perhaps (on a smaller scale) such things as ferrets used to hunt rats? (Just to play devil's advocate. )
