Lets also keep in mind that those who are doing ID because they have a holocron are also the ones that have hundreds of thousands of credits, maybe millions,,,and that training costs and muon gold are easily paid for.

At launch, muon gold wasnt available in crates,,and if you did find some on the bazaar it likely wasnt on the planet you were on. Mind buffs from doctors were extremely rare,,( no doctors) , mind buffs from entertainers did not even exist. Just earning credits wasnt that easy either, with low end weapons and armor, while we waited for the smiths to get to higher levels.

So as the game has matured and better buffs and more credits are available the profession is easier to Master,,due mainly for the "aids" that are now available. Take away all the buffs, allyour other master skills and weapons that youuse now,and all your credits ,,I seriously doubt you would find it so easy.

So we are left with a contradiction. For holocron users the profession is too easy to Master,,but for the new player or players on a new server the skill gain isnt nearly as easy and to increase the difficutly due to the holocron issues isnt fair. If suddenly the value of the profession change due to new and meaningful value being added by the developers, making the skill trees more difficult is something I would favor, however without meaningful additions to our capability, I think skill difficulty is about right. And few if any holocron Id'ers will still retain the skill anyway,,,

In regard to danger, dancing in a cantina or giving someone a new hair style shouldnt be dangerous,,its why I dont need armor and a weapon,,,and honestly why should it be dangerous?? What is wrong with being a non-combatant,,??

If a player wants danger,,image design isnt acompatibleskill in a game that has a skill point limit of 250,,I am quite sure that you wont ever see a commando or bh with Id skills,,or for that matter any true combat profession because every skill point is precious and the combat professons earn far more than any image designer can,,,so lets leave danger out of our profession.

As to the fast track-I've said it before and I'll say it again....any artisan profession can be made fairly quidkly by grinding away. Even the other entertainer professions can be done that way---AKF anyone?????????? I've seen people obtain Master Musician/Dancer so fast it made my head spin. Some people will grind no matter how difficult they make it.

Not everyone grinds their way through a profession, although sometimes it seems like it. Why punish the roleplayers and/or casual gamers just because of the grinders?

I believe the people who recieved holocrons will master up and quickly leave to go on to the next grinding session.

On a side note, I applaud SOE for actually making professions that gives people another alternative to combat oriented professions.
