Okay, a full scan seems to have fixed my graphical problems. The results of my test:
Logged in my combat toon and set him up at the far end of the tent.
Logged in my doctor toon and tried to call the droid in the tent—no dice.
Called the droid at the front door and had it follow me into the tent.
The droid was at the correct height (i.e. actually in the tent) and within a meter of both the doctor and the combat toons.
Attempted to buff the combat toon—no dice.
Walked both toons to just outside the door and buffed successfully.
Conclusion: it may have been an oversight that has been fixed on TC but has not yet made it to live, but buffing is not possible in the tents on TC, even with a droid.

*boggle* I am appalled you were told to go to the corner or get out. In the ID tent!? By a Doctor?! In the ID tent!?
Why the heck wasn't he in the medical center where umm, people go and actually expect to find a Doctor? Ohhh, yeah. Scavenging off the line of customers, now more IDs are working. You know what Docs? They'd be lining up in the med center like that too -- if you were actually there giving buffs and heals. And not afk with an afk tumbler.
Geesh. Poaching territory and then rude enough to stage a coup too? Absolutely amazing how arrogant some people can be.
Okay, so maybe it's a nice shared opportunity area where customers are looking to one-stop shop for HAM adjustments. But there's no call for the medical professions to behave as if the tents are their domain and that any IDs come second and set-aside. If such practices become the norm... it could get ugly. Very ugly.
At least now I know why the tent in Theed seemed to be so extra crowded and spammy last night. I saw all those Master Doctor titles in there (droids out) and innocently assumed they were waiting their turn for a migration or ID. /slap self. It never occured to me they were gleaning customer chaff in there. I saw all that spam about who's next, and just figured the IDs had taken up the ordering practice the Docs have been using for buffing lines. I didn't check to see who was saying, Next in line is:..... As far as I was concerned, that was just notice to who was pre-paid and lined up for IDs. Wow. Docs are that hard up that they have to find work in the ID tents? Wow. Sadly, it will probably become the norm. And there's nothing to be done about it. Other than hope the majority of Doctors are not as rude and arrogant as the one described above.
/whisper And I'd bet you my bantha no one gripes about 10-15k for a Doc buff.

I agree. Im a master doc myself. It would been better for the game if a hospital gave a better bonus than droids. Worse for docs but better for game and more realistic..
Hospitals are now only a place where grinders go... When grinding stops. They will be empty.
Im a master doc / imagedesigner atm. And I would never ever buff anyone in a ID tent.. But I have ID'd people in the hopsital 
However I prefer the Tent.

I saw a Dr in the Theed tent last night buffing IN the tent WITH his droid and being rude to some of the ID's saying things like "come on baby, show me that thong" How truly pathetic.

Well, speaking as a Master Doctor, I can tell you one of the things that are just plain dumb about SWG is that Medical Centers/Hospitals don't help a Doctor at all as long as the Doctor has a decent droid.
Medical Center/Hospitals = 100% heal rating.
Droid Medical Rating = 65 -110% heal rating.
And in a Medical Center/Hospital.. the Hospital rathing overrides the Droid rating.
And I don't know how this works? I'd love to get my droid working in a NPC owned structure, but I've never been able to.

I agree, our tents should be made to disallow woundhealing like the cantinas and it seems that the devs are allready working on it.
I agree, too that a hospital, especially the very large ones like in Theed, should give a way better bonus compared to a single little droid in the field. The best droid module cannot be a substitute for a clincal environment with all the supplies there and the like.
But that's something for the Doc-forum, I would say.

I totally agree. The dancers/musicians have the cantina which helps with buffs, the Dr's should get a bonus for actually using the Med Centers and the ID's should get their bonuses for using the tents. None of us should be able to use the others location and receive bonuses. I really hope they make this a reality and soon. It's starting to get ugly and it will only get worse as time goes on.

i am a master tailor too, and during stat mig, i love to craft... damn 10 min... but i can't call my droid, if i want to use it i have to stand right at the doorway or it doesn't work

i agree with making the id tents like cantinas.... make docs use the hospitals already!! why else should they be there!!

and by cantina i ment medical center...how did i ever pass med school?
