I've done quite a few stat migrations now, maybe around 30 of them, and for the most part I either do some other changes or just chat with them.

and i add all the people in my line to my group so i usually have 4 or 5 people in my group at a time, so it can get quite lively.

The worst thing i had happen was i did one guy and his stats didnt change, did the next girl and she did an emote and it closed the window. so i had to do them both again (free of course) these were one right after the other so that was well over 40 minutes to do 2 stat changes

I've also only done *one* stat migration, it was OK at best. I think I'm going to see if there are any novice IDers in the tent when I start playing and send any players that JUST want a stat changeto them. until thing slow down

I've done a few. I'm hoping to avoid doing many of them... they are extremely time-consuming and very boring if that's ALL the customer wants. Last night I was doing migration for a friend, and he accidentally cancelled the ID offer... 7 minutes into the 10 minute wait. So it took me 17 minutes total just to migrate his stats.

Yup, sadly I discovered that after I have done most of the stat migrations, but plopping down my omnibox and play some funky tunes, or slip into something comfy to dance in made it much more bearable. It also lead to some unexpected tips too

I've done a few. Not really a problem except for yesterday afternoon. Now, I really just do things for tips but I figured I'd set a price for stat migrations and holoemotes. Originally I was charging 10k - 1k per minute. Then a friend said I should charge more. So I thought 25k would be good. Well, the first guy comes in (Master Doctor by the way), and asks for a stat migration. I say it'll be 25k and will take 10 minutes. Well, he gets irrate. Calls me a price gouging b*tch! He gets very rude and starts shouting that I am price gouging and that IDs are all the same.

So...being a very tolerant person, I eventually ask him how much he would pay. He says (of course) 'free, b*tch'.

So now I just say tip whatever you feel is good. I hardly made any money before the new changes and I know that I charge low prices when people ask me to set a price. I grow tired of people trashing my profession because its not one where I go and kill things.

(Also the fact that he was a doctor bugged me. I'm guessing that a doc could maked double that amount in 10 minutes...actually... lets figure this out. 10 minutes. 2 minutes per full buffs (I think)...so this doctor could concievably make 50k in that time...and they sit there for hours. Granted resources cost, but probably they can make that back in a half hour.)

Sorry. Alittle P.O.-ed about this. I hardly made any money before with ID, and a miniscule amount with dancing. I have wants and needs too.

Be kind to your Image Designer, please. We didn't ask to do stat migration. It was given to us to actually make some money instead of pocket change.

I've personally charged at the MOST 16k for a stat migrate. anythign more than 20 is ludicrous, even at 16k per migrate I still make atleast 200k a day.

Also, the reason they made stat migration ten minutes is because they didn't want people abusing the system if they made it be an instant or 2 minute thing.

Yippee...you guys are already Master ID's. What about the ones who want to start it? Way to go Devs...that's a great way to keep people from wanting to become a Master Image Designer. No one in their right mind is going to wait that long for such miniscule XP.

Ten minutes is fine, now that I've done some. Yes several..and I rarely charged much for them. if a novice was around, I sent the customers to them, for the xp, while I just sat, chatted, and gave out free Holoemotes for folks to play with while we chatted. I do agree 50K is a LOT, personally I charge 10K for a migration, 1K for one change, and 3K for a bunch. It takes 10 minutes to do a 10K mission roughly, so that sounds spot on to me. Sure it's not as fun for some, but just hang in a crowded tent. Most are, and I think that was the devs intent to force the IDs out of their parlors and into the towns. I had a few say 'Just migrate' then sit, see a few neon folks, or the cool emotes, and ask for me to tweak this, or tweak that, and I usually end up making more than I expected from that one session. Granted, 3K more, but eh. It's fun. I do it for the fun, not as a job. I like helping folks out, despite rumors to the contrary, and I like helping people enjoy the game. I've been burnt out, and ready to quit for months, hanging on for old friends, and nothing more. But you know something? After the publish..I was in there, chatting, a few were dancing and playing, and for just a moment, I remembered the old magic. It brought back memories of the old Tusken runs, the meatlumps around kadaara, the first time I killed a Bantha, the old friends that had already given up and left us, the ones still here. For the first time in months, I'm EXCITED to play the game again. I can't wait to be ingame yet again, chatting, doing some simple, pointless missions, whatever. This publish has single handedly put the community back in Galaxies, and I can't wait to see what the next few bring, as the hologrind grinds to a close. Anyone need stat migrations, look up Mortiky, or any member of GEA, odds are at least ONE ID is on, and we'll happily migrate your stats! Just 10K and a bit of gum flappage is all we ask

No I don't have a freakin sig. Just make something up and pretend it's here man. woman. umm...Whatever.

Yeah the 10 minutes isn't fun. But i've started cruising the different chat channels meeting new people. Or I dance/play music etc.

As for pricing I've adopted a system that's working out fairly well. I tell the customer this is the IG equivalant of my missions. So Whatever you would make in 10 mintues of doing missions is fine.

I haven't had anyone outright cheat me...yet. Although I have had several go oh ok, and try and pay me like 70k. When I told one that was too much, pay less, he paid 35k, then tipped me 100k. I like this sysetm because it accounts for n00bs, as well as l33t d00dz.

my $0.02
