Thread: Gathering ADDITIONAL ISSUES (beyond #5) here

First, I think ID's should be able to do something to disguise people. For the GCW or Jedi vs. BHfor instence. Like if a Jedi knows he's being hunted, he/she can seek out a ID and get his image change and maybe even a new temp name. This could serve somehow to throw BH's off his track. Like maybe making BH's tracker droids not work. I don't know much about BH's really but I think its a good idea and with some help could be fleshed out better.
There is a precidence for this in game now. In the cantina in Nym's Stronghold there is an NPC who says that he had to go to an Image Designer for a new look so he could escape some Bounty Hunters or some such thing. (I will edit in the actual words he says later after checking in game.)
I decided to take a screenshot of what the guy says.

1. Droids. Droids are great and I for one want one. That way I could do my job at home or out in the wilderness. Great fun for me and everybody else. How you think this freedom of choice will "reduce" your customer base is beyond me. I'm a master ID. Customers prefer me to you - even when it comes to stat migrations, since so many of the players don't know that novices can do them. All I have to do is stand in your Salon and hog the market and you will get less business. You should in fact wish for me to get a droid as soon as possible so that I would get out of your way
2. Reduced timers for MIDs will NEVER affect stat migration. So no worries for you there.
The horrible grinding process introduced with the mini-publish is the real villain here. I mastered in an age long ago when there were no timers at all, and if I had the power to do so I would have them removed for everybody in an instant. As a newbie you should be focusing your anger towards the timers, not towards those higher up in the grind.
Image design should be fast and easy to learn in my opinion. The "sense of accomplishment" that many strive for when grinding a profession is to be found in ours every time we do a good job giving a customer a new look that he or she is thrilled with. The crafters make items, some of which can be customized. We give a service that is unique every time we perform it since no customer is the same. And let's face it. Only master image designers can offer enough content to make a session really interesting. If the devs truly appreciated this they would make the grind a quick process, knowing that the dedicated MIDs would keep their skill points invested in this profession for a much longer time than the normal average, and the profession grinders or merely curious would quickly move on.
We should only wish for things that made our job more fun and easy! Not ask for gimps aimed to correct percieved imbalances in an allready faulty grinding process.

People with diseases and/or bad wounds should not get stat migrations... and if they go ahead and do it anyway, it's their own fault if they get perma-incapped.
