First, I think ID's should be able to do something to disguise people. For the GCW or Jedi vs. BHfor instence. Like if a Jedi knows he's being hunted, he/she can seek out a ID and get his image change and maybe even a new temp name. This could serve somehow to throw BH's off his track. Like maybe making BH's tracker droids not work. I don't know much about BH's really but I think its a good idea and with some help could be fleshed out better.

There is a precidence for this in game now. In the cantina in Nym's Stronghold there is an NPC who says that he had to go to an Image Designer for a new look so he could escape some Bounty Hunters or some such thing. (I will edit in the actual words he says later after checking in game.)

I decided to take a screenshot of what the guy says.

I want our ID side of the UI to have a "before" and after view like the client side does.

....

hmm..

I want a droid, I'm sorry but I want one. I don't care if it does stats or not, but I live way way out in Dantooine and would love to take my "business" to my home and open my own lil salon, where I can do hair and changes to body and face with the same time breaks I get in the tents. But in my own house. For the members of my Home City. It would help alot within the vision of my roleplay as well. I wouldnt' be shuttle hopping five or six times a day, but staying in my home in my city and such.

about the droid and stat migrations... I refer pretty much all tells I get about stat migrations to the novices.. who need the xp so I don't care if that is included in a droid or not, but I think ( I could be wrong please correct me if so) but I think that all the other Master Craft/Artisian professions are allowed droids at Master levls.. Doctor, Tailor, Droid Eng.. Chef.. ect.

NEW HAIRSTYLES!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE give us some new hairstyles.. or let us combine some parts of styles with other parts of styles...

please, please, please give us new hairstyles..

-begs again-

pretty please

I'm a new player and I have reached Novice Image designer. Yeah for me. I did it the hard way, alone. And I have to say, I will never make another ID again if my life depended on it. The days spent grinding was absolutely horrible. I raised musician faster.

Now, I'm all for all the ideas presented thus far except two.

#1 Droids.

No mobile ID's. I get enough compitition from Master ID's. I'm lucky if I can get 3 customers in a 4 hour period, which means I have to raise my skills using myself as the test subject. Letting ID's go mobile will further reduce my poor customer base and increase my climb up the skill blocks to a staggering crawl. Atleast the current way I have a chance of getting customers since they have to goto a salon. Take that away and what's the use of playing one where I have to be in the right spot at the right time. There's enough of that already.

#2 Removal of the timer for masters.

Yeah, you reached master and deserve a few perks, but that's not one of them. Again, why go to a novice ID and wait ten minutes when you can goto a Master and have virtually no wait. That's not going to fly and will ultimately keep newcomers like myself from creating one. Whether ID's are rare or not, who wants to climb up those skill blocks when you watch the customer base pass you up at every turn.

Start thinking about us newbies when making your sugestions. ID is a hard profession as is, don't make it harder for the next generation for perks that benifit only you and only now.

Now, a Galactic terminal to advertise ID's is a great idea. The name of the ID'er and planet/city location listed is all that would be needed. And when they log off their name would be removed from the list until they resubmit it when they got back on. Sweet.

Some faulty logic in Kippu's post.

1. Droids. Droids are great and I for one want one. That way I could do my job at home or out in the wilderness. Great fun for me and everybody else. How you think this freedom of choice will "reduce" your customer base is beyond me. I'm a master ID. Customers prefer me to you - even when it comes to stat migrations, since so many of the players don't know that novices can do them. All I have to do is stand in your Salon and hog the market and you will get less business. You should in fact wish for me to get a droid as soon as possible so that I would get out of your way

2. Reduced timers for MIDs will NEVER affect stat migration. So no worries for you there.

The horrible grinding process introduced with the mini-publish is the real villain here. I mastered in an age long ago when there were no timers at all, and if I had the power to do so I would have them removed for everybody in an instant. As a newbie you should be focusing your anger towards the timers, not towards those higher up in the grind.

Image design should be fast and easy to learn in my opinion. The "sense of accomplishment" that many strive for when grinding a profession is to be found in ours every time we do a good job giving a customer a new look that he or she is thrilled with. The crafters make items, some of which can be customized. We give a service that is unique every time we perform it since no customer is the same. And let's face it. Only master image designers can offer enough content to make a session really interesting. If the devs truly appreciated this they would make the grind a quick process, knowing that the dedicated MIDs would keep their skill points invested in this profession for a much longer time than the normal average, and the profession grinders or merely curious would quickly move on.

We should only wish for things that made our job more fun and easy! Not ask for gimps aimed to correct percieved imbalances in an allready faulty grinding process.

I have to agree with Mittandra here. I'm sure that when you reach master, you will want some rewards for having completed the long grind. I did the grind way back before the revamp and then again after the revamp, so I know what I'm talking about, whereas the old system was perhaps a bit ridiculous (mastering in about 1 hour), the new system has completely overcompensated. Timers should be reduced and the xp gained from a job should increase as you go further up the skills tree.

I mentioned on the top 5 list before I found this one, these two ideas (one already noted):

1) Hips/Butt/Thigh slider

2) Increase in female muscle max. He can look like a gymnist, but she can only look fit?

Noting a previous comment about being able to change nose protrusions, how about:

3) Back of jaw up/down slider. - As someone who draws the human face, I was taught that the line of the jaw should go from the point of the chin to the bottom of the ear. Well, we can shrink the avatar ears, thereby raising their bottom edge, but the jaw doesn't adapt, and you don't have the option to adapt it. This would also allow females to have a strong (wide) jaw, and yet still appear femine, because it won't take up quite so much of the face being shorter (lifted).

People with diseases and/or bad wounds should not get stat migrations... and if they go ahead and do it anyway, it's their own fault if they get perma-incapped.
