LadyPirate, if those changes are made, it won't take months to master ID, it will take YEARS.

I would have to agree I know the majority of my XP to master ID came from stat migrations. I can't even imagine having to do it with only eye color changes or some such O_o

I did it that way... TWICE! Back when a stat migration was worth 600 xp (or the same xp per minute as hair color changes). Grinding steadily on my alt, it took me MONTHS (vs the 2 weeks my MIDs who made it after the increase to 2k xp per stat migration went into effect). Believe me, it was PAINFUL!

My MIDs:

  1. Bria: Ssumidra

  2. Corbantis: Sepia

  3. Intrepid: Dar'yia

  4. Lowca: Elistra

  5. Scylla: Miyax

  6. Tempest: Lu'fra

You have my profound sympathy and repect then dear hehe I also started ID after the image designer revamp when the xp for stat migrations was 600. It took me so long, I had only got about halfway done before they changed the xp rate to 2000 I just about went insane with boredom anyway, leveling ONE id, over the course of 2 or 3 months. I can't fathom how it was for you with 6 of them O_o

I just don't do them anymore -- only for pals or if someone offers insane money

Basically I get griefed for charging 25k by customers, and griefed by other MID's for charging less than 25k.

Leave the novices to it I say, you guys need the xp

I think stat migration should be a Master ID talent only. Sorry but that is a skill that logically should be. A novice dr cant automatically rez they have to work for that skill and from what I hear it gives a load of xps which soe should reconsider for that alone. Lower the xps given for it or make it Master only.

Not to be rude, but as a master ID, I don't NEED xp. Why should the highest XP service be given to someone who has no need for xp?

I want some of whatever you're smoking dear. More than one of your posts leads me to believe that what ever it is, it's some good stuff. Oh drat... and here I said I wasn't going to be rude.

Gah! I *really* *really* hate it when people assume that only MIDs can do stat migrations. Drives me up the wall.

And *no* way would I ever agee that MIDs should be the only people to stat migrate. Then I'd *never* get out of the tent. Plus, it's very unfair to the novice IDs, what would they do for exp?

Side note to the guy who said we need the 84k xp to convert to force xp--if you're a master ID, just get a mind secondary buff and grind it withbody changes.A simple macro will start a session on yourself, then accept the changes every 2 seconds, just click muscle down 1 notch each session for 150 xp. You can cap out at 84k in about half an hour. MUCH faster than stat migrations. Let the novices have those. They most likely need the money and definitely need the xp/time ratio.

Well that isn't true.. once you Become glowy and hit the force village you need to convert that banked 84K exp into 7:1 force conversion.

it's a long long way to make force xp... one of the reasons I canceled my ID profession.. everyone is beating me up the force progression.

er...anyone else have no idea what this means?

Also I am in total disagreement with lady, I wish that once you hit master you could get stat migrations taken off you.

Okay... some of you havn't been to aurillia which is the force progression village; a place where you take your earned experiance and convert it to force experiance in the hope to make Jedi padawan one day.

The MID can bank 84,000 experience before "maxing out" thier professional experiance. What does this mean? It means once you aquire experience you go to the village to dump your earned experiance and you convert it at a rate of 7 ID XP to 1 force point of XP. Still lost? Well if you dump your experience you can feel a sence of needing to continue the ID profession cause you're earning XP once again.

A comabt profession converts Earned experience at a rate of 30:1. Still lost?

if you have 30,000 EXP of ID and are "one with the force" and have had a visit from the old man and have defeated the sith and can go to Dathomir to the force village you can convert 30K into 4,285 Force experienc that is assigned to "sensitivity". If you are a combat profession and had say 30,000 exp you could convert it to force for 1,000 points of experiance to go to wards a combat/reflexes force related experiance... Once you have enough force EXP and you complete the force tests you unlock padawan and get your lightsaber.

Still lost?

To become glowy and become one with the force you need to visit select pois (points of interest)and complete 5 content badges.

Still lost?

Content badges are the theme parks and special dungeons.

it is clearer?

I left the ID profession because it's easier to bank 900,000 experiance in combat than it is to complete 84,000 experiance in ID...

Still wondering oblivious?

It take about 5 mins to earn 125,000 XP ( gurk lair [wild] lok) in combat10 more to find the next batch of 125K while it takes 10mins to run a stat migration to get 2K of ID. which gets you about 5K ID xp compares to 250K Combat

yes.. not everyone wants to become a jedi, but it is the whole basis of the game from a development standpoint. To defeat this progression you're selling yourself short of the game in it's whole completeness. As an ID your stuck in a canvas prison with no hope to see any of the game's content and wondrous areas.

Yes you can maintain your MID and take a combat profession, you just have to let go of the stat migration experiance and headaches...and take up a weapon to kill monsters and villans in the game. Soo you too can screem kill kill kill die die all you heathen animals!

hope this clears up your confusion. It really comes down to what are you going to do with your experience to off sett the "what now" felling after you master your professions.

True but the clicks involved just arn't fun. I tried it and I felt guilty and bored. Being a socialite I can't stand to click for hours to get XP instead of talking and harrasing customers for RP. Or goign on a hunt group with friends... or running imp missions killing rebel npcs.

And you don't need to max the experiance to convert it.. just need some exp tomake the trip worth while..
