I want the option for a theater. At least it makes sense to change people's appearance before a show there. I'd settle for a cantina, but we deserve something too. It's only because they can heal mind and we can't.

The new player city specific structures cannot be transfered to someone who does not have the skill to actually place it.

I think we should have some sort of building designated to us. All of the other crafter professions can place vendors to sell their goods,and other things and now musucians,dancers,and medics can have a palce to do buisness. I would also like to see SOE implement that Player bounty thing they "bragged" about before launch where failing a mission or too many missions might get a bounty placed on your head,and then allow the image designers the ability to change appearance to a new disguise to remove the bolunty. Seriously though we really get jipped in this game...at least give us some neat little things to craft....like some scissors and other iamge design tools that we can display in our houses turned into salons. Or maybe make Image Designa requirement for a new profession. Artist They can make paitnings and sculptures...now that would be sweet.

Do you even read my posts? I said AFK-macro entertainers are a disgrace to the entertainment profession. Dancers, musicians, and yes even image designers who you say can "accept" changes are disgraces to the entertainer profession. AFK-macroers steal tips from live entertainers by their presence, they kill the atmosphere live entertainers try and maintain, and they generally overall give the community a bad name via thier poor example.

If you have read my posts and understood them I would then dare say it is your own guilty conscious putting you on the defensive. However I would like to think you are an exceptional live performer who doesnt throw on a macro and falls asleep/goes to work/ watches a movie to master the wonderful field of entertainment...yes?

Not to rerail the thread, because God knows we don't have enough threads going that debate AFK macroing entertainers *rolls eyes*but I like Ronin's post. I wish we DID have some sort of specific building we could use. Then again, we are sort of a portable profession.

I sometimes wonder why they put image design under the entertainer profession. I guess there really wasn't anywhere else to put it... this is where I wouldn't mind seeing a whole new "artist" novice profession. But getting back to the topic at hand, being an elite entertainer profession, there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to placea cantina as well. If we don't have much to do with entertaining per se, that's the fault of the devs, not ours.

If you know a lot about the dancing community, you would realize that not all of us do afk. You did not say that the afkers are a disgrace to the entertainment profession. You said that the dancing community is a disgrace. If you meant to say the former (that afkers are a disgrace)I would have to agree with you. Also your first post simply said "Whats the sense of a dancer or musician owning a cantina when they will only be afk-macro entertaining anyway for thier patrons?". Which is nothing more than a snide comment directed at all masters, which is what provoked my response in the first place. Did you mean to say "What's the sense of afkers owning a cantina when the will only be afk-macro entertaining anyway for their patrons"? Because both of your statements were not specific to afk entertainers. If you did not mean them that way, say so.

And to your last comment, I won't even dignify that with an argument. It took me several months to reach master and I never afked. If you played on Starsider and ever visited Bestine or now Sandstorm City, you'd see that not I nor anyone in my PA afk performs...we're real performers. I really understand your frustration with afkers in general, I have a lot myself, however, I don't understand your frustration with dancers and musicians as a whole. I'm sorry if you've never seen real entertainers, but don't assume that we aren't out there. As another part of the entertainment community, it would be nice if we weren't so divided. I also have no interest in arguing just to argue, nor have I ever hijacked a thread before. Your first comment was just so nasty, I couldn't help but respond. If you actually meant it in a different way, say so, no need to be nasty I understand that typed communication is not the best.

Just to re-derail. Let's say ID were moved to another profession, such as artist. What would we put in the space? Personally, I'd like to see more jugglers in SWG.

Starsider used to be my primary server...and I know your avatar well. I left starsider mainly because it wasnt the roleplayer server it was supposed to be. Almost overnight it filled up with 1337's, AFKers, and of course our ever absent correspondant. You may have seen me... I was a master image designer/master dancer/ semi marksman Imperial named Nouva.

I since left Starsider and came to wanderhome, and I will say AFKing only recently became a problem since the holocron hype. Before the hype all the AFK grinders were confined to Corellia. By my own actions I made Bestine the most popular cantina in the galaxy, and it eventually filled up with Corellian AFK trash.

I visit may different servers and I rarely see talented entertainers AFK. AFK players represent the majority of the music and dance community, Mihnea, as hard a truth it may be, can you deny it? I am not trying to glorify my profession in comparison, I am trying to convey the fact that there are very few people like you. I quit my path of being a musician 2/4/4/3 because I did not want to be lumped into a community I was ashamed of being a part of; I dont even enjoy playing in bands anymore because of the AFKers.

It took you months to get Master Dancer, and I can respect that, and only you as an individual. But please dont be so bold to think that while your accomplishments, as commended as they are, can make up for the behavior of your community's majority.
