I want to point out something.

Although i realize the timers are put in place to keep people from burning thru ID in 2 hours. Its ridiculous to make it so that ID's themselves have to wait so long to make changes to themselves. I would glady take a huge XP penalty to make it so that ID's can make quick changes to themselves personally.

Call it a perk if you will of being an ID. As Kwee pointed out all other entertainer professions get benefit from they're profession aside from actually doing what they do. Dancers can heal BF and Mind wounds on others..and themselves at the same time still being able to dance etc.

If the changes to the times between ID changes is implemented in its current form you do nothing but punish master ID's and possibly make it so others dont wish to try being an ID because of the mind numbing click fest to get there.

I don't know what the best solution for this is.

Sometimes though i think that some of these things are just coming in spurts so eventually that all entertainment professions become so fed up with the whole thing that the devs decide to remove them from the game. I know i am probably grasping at straws on that but its how i feel sometimes. Like we are being fattened up for the kill because the devs are somehow getting the idea they made a mistake in their design decision to create the very first social professions in a MMO *shrug*

By the way, Kwee, I think the list looks fantastic. I agree with Syzygy-Gorathabout the wording of the self-modification concern. And I can see a possible reason for having the ten minute timer on the stat migration... and having the timers work as they do. It goes about like this...

They want to keep people from grinding it too fast, so they put a timer in place. This is known. They basically have two choices. Put the timer IN the new interface, or outside it.

Putting itinside the UI is likely the easiest thing for them to do because all they have to do is put in a pause and when the pause is done, apply the changes. The disadvantage being that we have to sit there with the window open. But it guarantees that we're tied up for the duration. I really doubt that the idea is to keep people from changing their stats too often. I suspect that it has to do more with US changing PEOPLEs stats too quickly. That and work avoidance. Here's what I mean.

If the timer was outside the UI, they'd have to add a variable on the player object that says, "I can't get migrated again until XX:YY A/PM"... But I don't think that's their concern. I think it'd more be adding a variable on the player object that says, "I can't DO another migration to someone until XX:YY A/PM"... See the difference? It's all about keeping ID's from doing too many, too fast. At least, that's my suspicion.

It'd be nice if we got an answer as to why it was done that way, but I really doubt we will.

P.S. When the heck does 'edit' show up as an option? I could've happily stuck that on the end of my previous post.

While I'd love new hairstyles and other content, I'd rather get those bugs squashed as soon as possible. The hair color bug has been my nemesis for too long now. I agree about the timers too. They seem inefficient at their purpose, so I'd rather see something else done. You really hit the nail on the head addressing all my concerns, though.

If we could only have half a Kwee representing all of us, I'd be a happy toon.

Nice work... lets hope they respond in kind.

by adding to image design some way to design"logos" textures (say 256x256 pixels, 256 colors, a dozen slots for a master ID)that could be used as tatoos or holoemotes, or sold toartisansfor them to include personalized pictures / design in their items.

As an ID, those are my questions... as a fellow Ent Corr, crossing my fingers and hoping you can get some solid answers here. A few of these could shed a lot of light on Dancer and Musician concerns as well. Good luck Kwee!

Looks good to me!

We really need those bugs fixed... If you get one at 9 am in the morning sometimesyou can't ID at all for the rest of the day because the bug keeps getting transferred to each new customer. This happened to me a few days ago.

Honestly, I don't much care about player city ID tents. The inconvenience is still ridiculously high to me (how many player cities on Dantooine are going to choose to support an ID tent? and then I'll have to travel to it?). What I'd like is a droid module. Like docs have medical droids so they can buff in the middle of nowhere, we should have mobile exercise droids that do your hair while you run on the treadmill.

So I'd like to see a droid module suggested.

Most of the universe's problems can be solved by the application of a brick to the side of the right head.
The problem is if you don't have a big enough brick or can't find the right head. The devil is in the details.
