No stories from the last 8 months? Well I have a neat one I'd like to share. It's not a big deal, but it brought a smile to my face!

Since making Master about a week ago, my character on Naritus has wornthe tag over her head exclusively. ConsequentlyI get stopped a lot in starports and shuttleports or approached in the cantinas for ID's.

Last nightI was waiting for the shuttle in Mos Espa when a nice-looking gentleman who was also waiting askedme ifI had time to do an ID. I replied sure - although I wondered why he wanted one since he looked very nice already - and we grouped. Once in group I asked what he wanted done and he told me that his lips were awful-looking and could I please fix them.

Truthfully I thought he looked fine, but I told him I would do my best and that I was going to make some slight adjustments to his facial structure. I played around with altering his cheeks, jaw and chin a bit to give him a more "square-jawed" look that would balance out his hairstyle (he had the Wolverine look). Then I made slight alterations to lips and mouth, making them a touch fuller and wider. Finally I darkened his skin tone a shade. The overall changes were not much in and of themselves, but together they made a difference. I asked if he liked that look and admitted that the changes were slight, and he said it was definitely an improvement. He paid 20K for the session and I committed the changes and thanked him before continuing on my way.

About 5 minutes later while browsing a vendor, I got some new mail. I opened it to see that my customer from a few minutes ago had bank-tipped me another 20k. Thinking it was an error, I started to send him a /tell when he sent one to me telling me that he was so happy and thankfulthat I had fixed his look that he had to tip me again. Needless to say I was very flattered and happy that those simple tiny changes had made such a positive impact!

I have a good and a bad.

When i just started ID I got a tell from a gal wanting some changes. She wantedto meet at the ID tent so I went over and met her. When I started we both realizied that i wasn't going ot be able to do what she wanted but got her as close as posible. After i was done, she gave a 3k tip and mentioned that she was a master tailor and when I wanted new clothes to send her a tell. I ended up at her shop and asked if i saw any of her displays that i liked. I pointed to a bustier/extremely revealing skirt/ gloves outfit that went pperfect with my skin color and asked for the price. She tells me that the outfit would be 30k (well outside my funds at the moment) except that that specific outfit was BE and was more expensive. She then looked at me and said that the out was "for me" and gave it to me for free. Just recently got to MID and have let her know that any time she wants an ID, to see if I am on.

Right after i made MID, I was about to log out and a twilek gal comes up to me and asks for an ID. It was an interesting experience, she wasn't sure what she wanted soit took a bit. When we got to lekku markings , I asked her if she wanted to change actual markings or just the color. No answer, so i said i would show her the different styles, cycled thru them slowly, trying keep in mind that she may have a slower connection, and she bursts out "No, just the color". I change the marking back to the origanal and ask what color she wants, now firmly aware that we are experience a lag issue of some sort. Blue it is, so I ask if she wants a dark blue, or a light blue. No answer. Waiting, finaly I start showing her the different shades of bue I have. I get half way thru them and she blurts "You need to lisen. I said I wanted the first blue u showed me !" At this point, I am annoyed and tired, give her the first blue and look thru my chat windows to see if i missed something. Nope, no comment about the first color. I ask "Anythng else" with my teeh clenched, and she says no, accepts and tips me a 1000 credits. At least it wasn't free :0

Normally, I have extremely positive ID experiences. Image Design has always been part of my character template, mostly for the ability to change the way Ior my friends look on a whim. While I primarily work for free and refuse tips from fellow entertainers, the unsolicitedbonuses I get from the combat types usually make it worth the time.

Here's a frustrating story from tonight.

I'm outside of Theed, about 1500m, placing furniture to decorate a customer's bunker - I do interior decorating on the side. Seems to go along with the whole tailor / ID thing. People are usually willing to pay extremely well to avoid the hassle of purchasing, dropping, moving, and rotating hundreds of items. 3/4 of the way done, I get this series of tells from a stranger with a kind of dubious name, that if pronounced aloud, would sound like Nasty Fo'. Not a good sign.

21:32:08 -------- tells you, 'u in theed'.
21:32:13 You reply to --------, 'No.'.
21:32:29 -------- tells you, 'where can i meet u i need a id done'.

I wasn't aware I had to explain myself to a stranger. I guess I picked up Image Design so I could be at the beck and call of complete strangers.

Considering the customer whose bunker I'm decorating is a Master Image Designer, with her tag up, and is less than 30m from me, I find that unlikely. Given that I'll be giving up a scheduled appointment to help this d00d, I explain my current job and the amount I'm going to lose in credits and reputation if I don't finish it tonight as promised.

-EDIT- is a four letter word starting with F.

21:36:13 -------- tells you, 'i asked nice and u where a **edit**'.

I guess the plz part was the nice part. Apparently saying 'no' makes me a **edit**. Grrrr!

Five minutes later, I get this nice little addendum, from someone who is probably a guild mate of --------:

If being on the "bad ID list" and ignored means that I don't have to tolerate demands for my services while I'm not even in a city... great!
