Maybe you should master basic first...

The times are going to vary depending on whether or not you have a willing player to help you or if you are changing yourself. It also will depend on what feature you are changing as XP will vary with certain changes.
Stat migrations will give you 2000 XP per, but you are limited bythreeFOUR things: 1) the ten minute timer (no way around this),2) you can't stat migrate yourself, and 3) you MUST be in an ID tent and 4) you must be at least a Novice ID
Let's assume you get lucky and manage to get someone to sit for you, and all you do is just migrate stats for the larger XP. Assuming I did my math right and staying up late has not sullied my brain, the breakdown is as follows:
Novice ID = 10K XP = 5 stat migrations = 50 minutes (you can't do stat migrations for this xp as you don't get that ability until AFTER you make Novice so you have to do eye color changes instead... see below)
Hairstyling 1-4 = 100K XP = 50 stat migrations = 500 minutes
Facial Customizations 1-4 = 100K XP = 50 stat migrations = 500 minutes
Body Customization 1-4 = 100K XP = 50 stat migrations = 500 minutes
Marking Customization 1-4 = 100K XP = 50 stat migrations = 500 minutes
Total Time for 17 Boxes of ID = 2050 minutes = 34 hours, 10 minutes
If you don't do stat migrations, the XP is considerably less, and there is a thread around here somewhere with that breakdown. There is no "fast way" to do this profession. I'm quite sure the other IDs will correct me if I am wrong. I start to get a little hazy this late.
You forget that you don't get the ability to do stat migrations until AFTER you are a Novice ID, so you need to do eye color changes for the 10k xp you need for Novice.
Novice Entertainer to Image Design 2 = 6k xp = 60 cosmetc changes (1 hour)
Image Design 3 through Novice ID = 35k xp = 117 eye color changes (rounds up to 5 hours)
Hairstyling 1 - 4 = 100k xp = 50 stat migrations (500 minutes)
Bodyform 1 - 4 = 100k xp = 50 stat migrations (500 minutes)
Face 1 - 4 = 100k xp = 50 stat migrations (500 minutes)
Markings 1 - 4 = 100k xp = 50 stat migrations (500 minutes)
Actual grind time is around 40 hours total.
However... I always figure on 1 hour for each 10k of xp needed after making Novice ID (which makes that time alone 40 hours). This takes into account lag and the inevitable delay between sessions. So...
6 hours to make it to Novice ID + 40 hours to get all the rest of the skills = 46 hours (more or less)

I tend to forget the Entertainer part of the ID tree. Thanks!
Heh... you're welcome. I've made MID with 6 characters so far. In my opinion, the hardest part (at least since Publish 9) has been Image Design3 to Novice ID. Getting to Image Design 2 (where you get eye color) isn't too hard, 10 Cosmetic changes for Image Design 1 and 50 for Image Design 2... but even with the (slightly) increased xp for eye color changes, Image Design 3 through Novice ID is a pain. It could be worse though... 2 of my IDs made it to Master BEFORE Publish 9 and had to do it mainly through eye color (or some other body) changes and one was partway there when Publish 9 came out.
On a side note, I have gotten my 7th ID (Lhyris of Eclipse) to Novice and maxed out her xp (I will have to wait until the situation in the town she is in has been dealt with before I can train her in any of the ID skills) and max xp for a base Novice ID is 30k.
