Thread: Why dont you all have droids that let you ID in the field

Yea, I know there would be no reason to go to the tent and all.
But doctors have droids so there is no real reason to go to a hospital. Not comparing the two classes but who wants to spend enternity in a tent.
There should be some kind of droid module equivalent to all the other droid mods that let you ID whereever you want and get most or all of the tent benefits (which is basically just a shorter time right??)

The only thing that we can do in the tents that we can't do elsewhere atm is stat migrations, and the devs surely don't want us to be able to do stat migrations for people out in the field.

I'm sure many ID's would love to be more mobile, but ultimately it's the devs' decision, and we can't really do more than put in requests.

Good question...We suggested this when they were thinking of the tents, but got turned down.

While being mobile would have been great for the process of trying to master ID, I can forsee issues with it. Considering IDs are now slaves to those needing stat migrations, can you imagine what a pain it would be getting tells every where about stopping to ID or migrate someone? I know it would annoy me.

I agree with Mawie...now that we have Stat Migration it's best left in the tents, mainly because it is a central place for players to go who need it, & more importantly because it is a central place for novices to get ID xp from doing them.
I would like to see a droid module that provides the same benefits for everything else though. This would be perfect for those of us who want to use home salons, make house calls, or do spontaneous ID jobs while on the go. Plus it helps out DE's which I am totally in favor of as well.

Actually it would probably lead to IDs sitting right next to Doctors at the Star Ports. You would never have to Stat Migrate again - which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.

Can't we all just sacrifice all the Novices to the great god Dev, and hope he silences all the "downtrodden" "poor" "hardworking" "complaining" stat migrationees. 
THEN we'll never have to do stat migrations ever again. There's one difference between Doctors and Image designers. Doctors can do their major money earner to themselves.

I don't mind doing ID work when I am in theed or anyplace else that has a tent,but it would be a HUGE pain in the bootie if I started having ppl BEG for stat migrations when I am out fighting.
Just my thoughts on the matter
