Hi there folks.
I just wanted to apologize to anyone who was really upset by a post yesterday by an Entertainer (Master Dancer, Master Musician, Master Entertainer) who proclaimed themselves the "ID Dev Pro Tempore." It was a joke in the Entertainer forums that, quite obviously, didn't transfer very well into here (as the post was deleted bya mod).
Sorry to all who got angered/upset etc from it, our intent was just to have some fun and share a few laughs.
We never intended to offend anyone.
We didn't intend to have it construed as trolling in your forums, I mean all of us Entertainers know too well how often we find trolls in our midst. It was just a bit of tomfoolery on the Entertainer forums that obviously didn't go over very well in here.
Apologies to you all, keep up the good work, and thanks for all that you.
P.S. I 100% assure you I am not the mysterious 1-star bandit. But should I ever catch him/her, be assured I will string them up by their mousing finger.

Does this mean we don't get our very own dev to pick on?
I went out and bought doughnuts and everything...

Perhaps the break room would have gotten too crowded if another Dev had been added.
and just on a sidenote...
We Entertainers need to stick together. Musicians, Image Designers, Dancers...we're all part of the Entertainment community. So often it seems like the Music/Dance side of the social profession tries to ignore the Image Design part, and it goes the other way as well with Image Designers holding themselves aloof.
I know it seems like our skills are completely different from one another and that's true, but we do have a lot in common--we've all got a basic love for helping other people. It's why we've chosen a social profession.
/shrug
Maybe it's just me, but I don't like seeing the rift that's grown in the Entertainment professions. So...I just want to (forgive the cliche') challenge you to reach out to the "other" side of our professions. Find someone there and make a new friend.

/agree 100000% Lilo.
Ourcommunity is so small, and I love the camaraderie we enjoy. It has always been my opinion that we have enough people trying to divide us, without us dividing ourselves. We gotta pull together!

You can answer all questions with the canned answers we have printed out or just make up your own. The only real difference is that I have the better title and more pay

*smiles sweetly* It's really just too bad you can't see what gesture I'm making... so you'll just have to use your imagination when I say, Gopher this, sweet cheeks.

Meh, well I'm sorry for my hasty (and slight)overreaction. Combine the fact that this forum is crawling with trolls and one-star bandits and that I was stressing because of work, the post struck a nerve and I wanted to respond with how it made me feel. How would I know it was a joke if I hadn't any clue what was going on?
Even though I have done all the entertaining I could do in this game, not once have I thought to even go on the entertianer boards.
But, even in a good mood, I believe that the dev bashing needs to be taken down a notch. I agree that the customer service is lacking in this game, but I think the devs are doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. They are human, and they are going to make mistakes and screw up periodically. No one among is us perfect, and neither are they. /shrug

This I agree with. I've been guilty of it myself, but I think my anger now is mostly directed toward the CSR's. The fact is, I love this game, enough to pay $30 a month for it. So I may not always like EVERY change they implement, but they've managed to create a game that has kept me playing obsessively for over a year now. That's no small feat.

Who hasn't? Last night I was cursing them because of the TERRIBLE TEF system. I hate it, and I wish they would get to the combat rebalance sooner... but I also know they have other things they are doing. I'm sure these people have lives outside of SWG and, like the rest of us, only have 24 hours in a day. And, knowing myself, I bet even when the rebalance does happen, I'm gonna moan about some change they made. It was like with the ID changes. We all wanted more prestige for the profession and less ID grinders... well, we certainly got that, but now we also have a HUGE interface and timers. With every positive, there is going to be a negative.

Kwee's right. The ID dev has been amazing. Even when I don't like the decisions made for the ID profession, it's nice knowing someone out there is working on our behalf, and working HARD.
