That wasn't on TC last time I checked, but wasn't in the patch notes either. Did the timer reduction go live today?

I put in a bug report and I was told 'this is a known issue' and 'no ETA'. This sort of made me upset, because this is first update we've gotten since publish 8? was it? and it's not even all working properly!
I want to be able to ID myself and incur no timer because of MID. it's nifty and it would be really really nice for my grinding.

Don't be too upset about it... atleast we IDs got something to make our live more fun... Alot of other professions are still waiting for some love by the devs and will have to wait a good deal more. The devs really have a very full plate at the moment and are working hard to make progress. I know this isn't really satisfying, but we should be thankfull for what they have given us and shouldn't blame them that a certain feature (as nice as it would have been) hasn't made it in yet. And please don't blame Runesabre especially since he told us this feature would be included. He is very very busy with the Combat Upgrade right now and thus not fully up to date when it comes to current live-server additions. I'm sure he didn't meant ill when he told us about the planned removal of master ID timers even outside tents. It was simply the info he had an I really appreciate, that he took the time to talk to us for a bit again.
So please don't be too upset or angry. The devs are just human beings like we all and thus their days only have 24 hours, too.

Though I am not upset with the dev, or anyone I am more disappointed. Yes they have alot on their plate yet if they are going to tell us that this change or that change is going to take place then someone needs to step up tp the plate and tell us "Im sorry we made an error we hope to have this taken care of by...." People would not let this go if Ford made a care and told us it has a CD player and we go get our new ford and it has a tape deck. How many of us would honestly accept a anwer of "We have no ETA on that tape deck" We are after all consumers of a product. I understand that the combat rebalance is a big thing, and I hope it turns out great. but at the same time if you are in the back room building your up stock, you are missing out on the customers at the counter. As ID i dont post here often, I roam the boards and see people crying and moaning about little things, and the ID boards stay civil whic, which i like, But maybe we need to be more vocal, and have more of our id friends come here and express what changes they want so the Devs see that it is not the same 10 or 15 people.And at the same time I do not see how having one or two devs come up and work the counter "sorta speak" is going to throw off the rebalance. I dont think many people in the underappreciated proffs, ask for huge changes, but to atleast start implementing the small changes, and bug fixes would be a start.

I'd like to know even though it's not a huge deal, that it is one someone's list of things to work on fixing for the game, and it's not going to be two or three months down the road that it gets fixed. You know, some reassurance, that "YES the combat restructuring is important and that's what we're working on, but we haven't forgotten and it will get fixed" not "no ETA."

Atleast this 'No ETA' is a honest answer and way better than any more specific date, that will be seen as a promise and when it not happens to that date being seen as 'another broken promise' again. It is disapointing for us, but seeing it through the eyes of the devs it's not very encouraging to be called liar and worse, because not everything has worked as they had planned it some time ago. So they have become very very carefull with stating such details now. And I think they are as disapointed as we are, when something doesn't work out as planned and has to be postponed with "no ETA".
I don't write this just for my fellow IDs here, who have shown a great deal of patience over time (which I'm really proud about 
), but for those not so patient folks that might lurk in here. Just try to see the things not only from your own persective, but with the eyes of the devs, too.

And for my fellow IDs I just want to say, that the devs have not forgotten about us nor do they think the ID (or any other profession or group of player) to be unimportant. They just cannot take care of all and every issue at the same time. So don't brood depressed over a feature that didn't made it in this time, but enjoy the game as it is at the moment. Tis aint a bad game only because it could be better

you're right techno, it is better then not getting something 'as promised'. Thanks for your always thoughtful words and insights. I still love the profession, still love the game and I'm not leaving ID any time soon due to a feature not being added. I just refuse to let it spoil the reason why I love ID. I don't love ID because of the timers, or lack there-of. I love ID 'cause it's fun and it will continue to be fun regardless of whatever timers we have.
Thanks for helping me put my disappointment into perspective!

I have my moments of disapointment, too, just like everyone. But then I usually do something that I allways enjoyed in SWG either something as simple as mopping up some Stormtroopers, stalking some rare creatures for their dna or now poking some eyeballs or squashing some squids or even stand an hour or so in the Theed Prison of style and do funny styles ... and then I feel muuuuuuch better
btw: Eyeballs is the rebel pilot slang for Tie-fighters and Squids is how they named the Tie-intercepters I just love that analogy
