Why is the ID tent suddenly so full of dancers, musicians, and medics, all AFK grinding? I don't understand why they want to be in the tent. At least in the Cantina they can get Entertainer Healing xp as well as Music xp.
Today in Chilastra Coronet there was a musician running his regular cantina macro shouting PLEASE INVITE ME INTO A GROUP once every 30 seconds. Then there were 2 AFK audience members who would /cheer and /clap every 30 seconds, plus a medic who was AFK healing the musician. At least there was no spam coming from the medic.
Please don't misunderstand my post. I am not ranting about AFK players. My question is: Why are they in the ID tent? Is there something special about the tent that I don't know??

Completely off topic, once at a starport to kill time, a dancer was dancing a bit. After a bit she said: "Tip me please". I asked her, "Why should we tip you?" "For healing your mind," she said. "Ehm... this is a starport, it don't work here," I said. She got a bit cranky saying "Hey this is just my regular macro, ok, I'm not changing it just for dancing at a starport."
I think she should never have put that line in her macro in the first place, and I told her too. Idea: instead of an AFK-chat ignore function, how about a macroed chat ignore?

Well it might be that the dancing characters are the alts of the ID's practicing on them, and since you can dance or play while being ID'd they figured they could get 2 things done at once. Other than the new decor I can't really think of any other reason for them to be performing in the salons lol

Less annoying than the spammers, more annoying in character I suppose --
I went to log out one day and trotted into the theed salon to do so, and found all the cushy chairs and couches had already been taken by afk medics and stuff.
I had to sit on the floor.

I have seen three people so far running into the Bestine tent shouting:"Can anyone heal me?!"
My reply: "Ehm... does this look like a med centre to you?"

If Akeira is in the Coronet ID tent, chances are you'll find Caihsk in there as well playing ID guinea pig. I usually set him up to dance or play music to help keep him from getting disconnected on me, but often times, just for fun, I strike up some witty banter between the two...
It can get awfully boring in there at times.

Well, on the one side it is nice to see, that the tents seem to be very 'accepted' by all players now. On the other side it is pretty annoying to see afk-entertainers spamming their macros for nothing in there. And those docs really should stick to the 'hunting' outposts and medcenters. Don't take me wrong, I don't really want to boot anyone out of 'our' tents, but it can be very difficult for an ID to identify a new customer or for a customer entering the tent to identify those IDs actually 'on duty' to help them. Our tents are simply not as big as the cantinas or med centers (not even the small ones) for such an 'invasion'.

Well the Coronet one is certainly far enough away from the cantina that the spam doesn't reach.....I have been in the Bestine tent as well, and I didn't hear anything from the cantina even though it is relativaly close by.

I don't care if people afk grind in the tent. Dancing, healing, whatever. I just wish they would please, please, PLEASE turn off their spatial spam. Spamming "please invite me into a group" every 30 seconds when you aren't even in the cantina is pure evil.

You can sum up the reason why they do this in one word - ignorance
People AFK spam chat in order to keep their connection active - no other reason really (apart from wanting to be in a group but when in a cantina most group leaders don't need to be asked to invite people). I have tried to educate those who insist on using AFK macros to replace the spacial spam with a "/tell (name) spam" where (name) is themselves - that way they do not spam spacial. However I seem to speak to a brick wall so I gave up asking and just started ignoring.
