I do agree with DuckMaestro, that flying glowing skull doesnt look starwarsy in the least, I would sooner expect that in a Doom mmorpg ! but I guess those holographic images make sense with the word image designer

if they want characters to look bad ass then allow armorers to make bone armors with skulls on them and whathaveya

do Image designers feel useless? I like to have one nearby whenI am not satisfied with my looks and I find them handy, same for Master Doctors with buffs...

but waiting there in the corner with nothing to do is not a fun gaming experience? will fuzzy effects make it more worthwhile? It depends if you want to play an adventurer or a crafter.. you may a

Check out the thread stickied above called "What are the ID Tents for". It briefly runs through some of the things coming in the mini publish (besides tents)

eeeeek where are the edit and delete options????

so I was about to say you may want to play both... As for me since we can have npc fighting along with us it would be nice if we could train those npcs with the skills we've got instead of having two characters, so when we want to drop a profession the other character is just there

Another thing to make the life of the service providers less tedious would be an interface that makes them npc like whenever player is afk or why not disconnected, players who want their stuff repaired tamed modified sliced could click on character to open a dialogue allowing the transaction, player could set in advance the price, for the service as well as the cost of each component ( an option for the player to provide any missing component welcome )

after all everybody can watch a dancer dance even when afk so having stuff made by afk players would also be nice, would work for ID

then if guys find the profession of image designer boring I dont see why under take it

What would make sense would be a different pool of skill points for combat skills service skills and space skills, that would be coherent with the skill system which give players maximum versality

Maybe you didn't notice (though how you could miss it, I have no clue) but Entertainers don't LIKE AFK dancers/musicians, and to make ID AFK-abke would TOTALLY ruin the profession for most any ID out there...
