Tents but cant use them?
I think this says it all.
Total BS.
Ive never ever been upset about anything SOE has done before, I have several characters with multiple Masters, but this is totaly ignorant, bad form all the way around.
They could have told us this from the get go.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Im so very upset right now.

Well, uhm, MOST of us knew that these tents wouldn't be functional until our mini-publish. I know Kwee has said it before. They're not going to be PERMANENTLY non-functional, and the reason they got pushed out in this patch rather than with the ID mini-publish is stated in another thread.
There're so many other things in the game to get worked up about. This is just a little tiny thing.

Yeah pressure on: IDers who read this message board know the tents only went live. Not that it really matters since I can't see ANY reason to put those tents out and then make IDers wait god knows how long til the mini publish to the actual skills goes live. Why not put the tents out then too and save people from bothering to try to use them? Everyone here seems to be much more interested in having flowers and such in them to make them cute rather than make them fuctional. I don't think the customers give a rat's a** how the tents look like. At least they won't now since they don't even work.

That would be because, as you pointed out, we read these forums. We know that static content has to be pushed out with a primary publish, not a mini publish. That's why the tents are currently nonfunctional—being static content they have to be introduced with the main publish. Pushing for functionality right now would be a waste of time, so we're pushing for things that we feel aren't.

Lets give all smugglers a brand new flame thrower, high damage, low ham, low speed, with an insane mind dot.
They look REALLY AWSOME everyone will want one!
But hey, you cant actually use it for another month...sorry thats just how it works right?

The tents had to be added in Publish 8 because static content is only added at certain times and they needed to be in place in time for the mini publish. I doubt you would have preferred getting the ID tent-related content in the mini publish coming soon, and then not be able to use them until publish 9?
I understand your confusion if you don't keep up with the Image Designer forum, but there is no need to jump to angry conclusions before getting the facts.

Patience is such a virtue...
Even with the tent not working (or no new content) i make more money.. people come to see inside, see a master ID and get some work done while i explain why it doesn't work yet...
So please stop complaining and give the Dev's time to work on this... we'll all be happier in the end..

this is true because they do not wish anyone to know the behind the sceans bungeling and constant fiddeling with things.
If EVERYTHING is open to a CONSTANT REVAMP behind the sceans..then we can not rely on this Games system to operate properly.
SOE has always maintained this outlook...but thistitle has gone and made it so bloody obvious that SHUG should take this particular post of mine and show it to the SOE director and tell him this:
"See what you did you bloody fools by making us push out a half done Beta!!!"
They are all reaping the rewards of that very first decision.
STABILITY IN A GAME is the outward showing of TRUST between the developer and its customer.
I blame the devs much much less than SOE as a whole. Just waiting for a Stable game mechanic Alternative to appear on the market. Till then they get tokeep My 15 bucks a month just so I can keep outthinking them and doing things they never intended for me to do...yet still gave me the mechanics to achieve.
At this point i'm beginning to get a bit spiteful.

I'm looking on the bright side now in a sadistic manner. If they are pushing this craptastic patch upon Jedi as it stands now, just wait until we see the fabled "Combat Balance". Then the cries shall be outstanding and all of us Jedi that get nerfed before hand can sit and giggle with glee. During the "Combat Balance" my official motto shall be "We've taken it from behind.. Here's your reach around."

I think they made a typo in the description. Should go something like ...it offers HINDERANCE without PROTECTION.
