Purpose of this thread is:

1. to alleviate boredom at time very early in the morning

2. to frustrate other forum users thinking of reference to ANOTHER ID bug.

3. to actually inform about another ID bug... or at least ask to inform about it.


There is a bug currently in offering ID changes to others... I'm not sure it'd be a good idea to post any details due to what this bug can do but I had a problem with it earlier and I'd like to warn others. I want a second opinion from Kwee or N'Jessi before I post the actual bug but for now just know to be VERY CAREFUL who you have targeted when you offer your changes, ESPECIALLY if you're speed-grinding or if you use the /imagedesignSetValue command lines.


Kwee.. I wouldn't be bringing this up if it hadn't reared it's ugly head for me again today. Just wanted to warn anyone who uses the commands.

Understood. Like I said... it was early here. Never shoulda brought it up.


Can't be replicated? That mean I'm the only one we know cando it? That worries me. Cause, like, you know... works every time for me (the less-serious part of the bug, anywho.)

Is that the bug where if you use a macro with the command /imagedesignSetValue in a macro without pauses you get bugged and cannot do any further image designing on that person that day? Or is this something new?

No, I believe this is a different one, since we all know about it.


And by the way, I disagree with the stance that is being taken on this. I think we as ID's have a right to know about any and all bugs that we may encounter in the course of our profession. Kwee, unless this can be exploited somehow, we have a right to know.


And it isn't just my profound curiosity that's talking here, either...

If you knew what the bug was you'd know how serious a potential for exploitation it has. I fully respect Kwee's request to keep this one under wraps until there is a fix implemented. I will NOT PM anyone with the details on this, so please stop asking.


Or would you rather every major guild on the servers have one or two ID's on the back burner to 'help out' on those late-night PvP raids? No. I'm not posting it. End of story.

Is this the sex change bug? I thought they fixed that /imagedesignSetValue gender_XX command around christmas?

It's a possible griefing tool. It should never have been brought up. The devs are aware of it.
