Hello,
I hope you and your customers are enjoying the new changes! I thought I would stop by and give you a quick little update on what's coming next week as a follow-up to the Image Designer mini-publish that went live this week.
Master Image Designer Timers
Master Image Designers will now have their timers for cosmetic and physical changes cut in half when they are doing image designing outside of the Image Design Tent. Master Image Designers will have no timers for cosmetic and physical changes while working inside the Image Design tents.
Hair Color Bug
The programmer who implemented the cool new Image Designer UI found and fixed the hair color bug! You will no longer need to relog your character to get your hair color to show up properly.
UI Revert Issues
We have fixed various issues where values were not resetting to their old values when using the revert option.
Misc.
- Added the missing male bothan hair color trim
- Fixed a case where players couldn't change a hair and set the secondary color on the new hair at the same time
Many thanks to everyone who submitted issues and suggestions! Your efforts are greatly appreciated and helpful for us getting issues resolved quickly.

Runesabre,
In regards to timers/xp gain for non-master ID's... Why not wait untill after publish 10 to put these into effect? I know a few people who thought they would unlock their Jedi before the patch, and have ID left to do. This change has effectively made it so that if ID is required for them, they will not unlock their Jedi. 60+Hours added onto their grind is probably not the best thing to do to people right now, and trust me, I know many, many people who are very distraught because of this.
Anyway, thanks for your great work to improve ID (I like all the cool new features), but I really feel for my jedi-hopefull friends who are almost in tears now because this one simple change has probably ruined thier chance of becoming a jedi.

Ruined there chance... umm... what are you talking about... After 10 the path will be different... not gone... that statment makes no sense... and all this made hurry up and grind stuff is just silly... wait for the patch and actually have fun getting to Jedi... instead of the mindless grind... :/

Ummm,
They way it is now, they can kiss unlocking their FS goodbye LOL. The changes Runesbane is talking about is cutting the timer in half. There is nothing to wait for. Its already there. ![]()

Timers and slow xp gains are already in place for ID.... you're asking to have them removed until after publish 10 right? I think it needs to be tweaked anyway, and I'm sure Runesabre is considering it. As he should also be considering the stat migration issue. I sure hope he is.

Huh? ruined their chance of becoming Jedi? Haven't they had all the time in the world? Doesn't the new quest system take into consideration the professions completed? Are they taking Jedi out of the game? What the HELL are you talking about?
One acronym for you: MBH.

Why exactly is there any timer on Master Image Designers at all? They stand nothing to gain from being able to service customers quickly, except for... being able to service their customers quickly, and being able to please their clientel... which is usually not pleased by being forced to watch an interface screen for minutes.
If the timers were instated to prevent macroing and grinding for XP, why aren't the timers tied to XP Gain as opposed to performing the service itself? Why are players forced to stare at an interface for minutes at a time-- long after they've made thierneeded adjustments--in which they can do *very* little else?
This forced wait brings with it alarge amount of inconvenience and frustration, which is entirely unnecessary-- if the aim of the timers were simply to curb XP grinding. In fact, formany players and all Masters, that's all the timers do-- bring with it an unnecessary wait and frustration, which doesn't seem to benefit the gameplay experiencein any visible way or manner.
How about tying the timer to XP gain, and allowing Image Designers to perform their services unhindered (or with drastically reduced timers)? How about tying the 10 minute Stat Migration timer to the time it takes for its effects to kick in, not time needed spent eyeing the Stat Migration screen? With this change, you both achieve theability to limit grinding and unnatural XP gains, and avoid frustrating both customer and Image Designer unnecessarily. I can't see howinsisting on the latter canpossibly beconsidereda good thing.

After publish 10, you dont unlock a force sensitive slot, rather you unlock a new slot and your MAIN becomes force sensitive. If you want an alt force sensitive character, you have to do the grind over again on your new character. As for image designer exp, the devs should rework it so it goes by a lot faster. When I mastered image designer, I had to pay a Fencer with a 1 million credit acklay stun baton just so he could click for 2 hours. I can't imagine what one would have to pay someone to spend 50-60 hours with you to help with exp. Either you have a very very good friend, or you have an alt on another computer.

Regarding "the programmer":
While I guess it's best to shield your team's identities from the frenzied mass of Galaxies players, I've always wondered why the devs referred to the people they command as "the combat guy," or "the art people." If I were said programmer at least, I think it'd be nice for us to get this guy's first name or handle at least, so people could say "Thanks Bob!" or "Thanks Probot6339!" in our various musings.
Just my two cents.
