Please read this all carefully

Okies time for our top five issues, these are due for sure next week While it is called top five, we can include up to 20, but only the top five have top priority.

Rules for posting:

  • They can be: bug fixes, exploits, art content requests, UI requests, general issues...

  • You are limited to five issues/requests

  • You may post only one time

  • Each issue must be only one concise sentence, no explanations. If it is not something I'm familiar with from reading the forums (that is, something you feels requires even a short explanation) then it probably is not a top issue for the profession.

  • No ranting, this is an objective technical document, I'll add explanations where necessary

Fire away! All ID's please post, don't be shy Your vote matters.

Remember one sentence per issue with no explanation please. Have pity on me, I have five or sixSWG writing projects to get done in the next week.

  1. Image Designer experience gain / time to master.

  2. Professional tenor changes due to stat migration / increased (XP) emphasis on stat migration.

  3. Lack of numbers in the new UI.

  4. Male "zombie face" bug.

  5. Lack of communication before/during/after the "enhancement" process.

Number !: [Gameplay/fun] The way the timer was implimented. ( the method, not the purpose )

Number 2: [Current content] Imballance of useful content at all levels, right down to Novice Entertainer.

Number 3: [Income] Image Designers lack appeal for repeat customers.

Number 4: [New Content] Image designers have recieved no new content aside from UI and colors ( which took the least effort out of all the possible content additions ) since launch.

Number 5: [Experience] Expgain. The least appealing aspect of the profession will soon give the most exp, while everything else gives scraps.

SOE, think about every non-Jedi "cancelled" signature you've seen, and remember that there will be more as you forget the communities that makes this game's heart and soul. Entertainers, Crafters, Hybrids, Non-Jedi Combats, and Smugglers. When you are closing shop on SWG, remember that you ignored the REAL community to cater to an alpha class that assured this game would never be "balanced."

1 - XP gain - This needs to be fixed, as currently the profession takes an inordinately long time to master compared to most others, especially considering the type of player that gravitates towards Image Design (eg. casual/social).

2 - Timers - I don't understand the obsession with time sinks in this game, especially when you apply them to one of the professions probably populated with the most casual players who don't nessecarily have hours on end to play - give us a timer that doesn't stop play for 10 minutes at a time.

3 - Don't make us the only option for stat migration - I think Bri's statement that we don't "want to be needed, we need to be wanted" sums it up - if you give players back the option to self-migrate over a longer period of time or come to us for a quick fix, they'll be less annoyed with us, more friendly and less annoyed about having to pay.

4 - Let us out of the NPC city tents! - I don't really care how, a player city tent, a droid module or a terminal for a player's house, just set us free!

5 - Some new content - new hairstyles would be nice, but especially tatoos (faction symbols etc.) would be great, as would scars (I'd image these take similar technology to tattoos).

I only have three:

  1. It takes way to long to become a MID

  2. Timers are boring.

  3. Fun factor isn't there (could be fixed by adressing issue #1 and #2)

Thank you

1. Timers, spending obscene amounts of time watching a timer tick down needs to be adressed.

2. Numbers on sliders and colours in the UI, like in the old UI.

3. Lack of useful things to do as a low skill ID.

4. Lack of actual new content (like hairstyles and such).

5. No adequate feedback after you as the ID commit to the ID changes means that thetarget could go AFK or log out, and you would not be able to cancel the session. (I think, anyway)

  1. XP Gain/Fun For aspiring master IDsthe time it takes need to be decrease and the fun factor needs to increase.

  2. Stat migration has became 99.9% of our customers and has creates bad feelings do to it is forced on them.

  3. New content needed, please ask forand use our input on this.

  4. Star Warsy Currently IDs are done magically, need reasoning behind IDs, Again please ask forand use our input on this.

  5. Social/Fun Stat migrations have turned out to be non-social, needs something done to it to make it social able and Fun. Again please ask forand use our input on this.

  1. TIMERS - they are nothing but a hindrance and they are poorly worked out.

  2. EXPERIENCE GAIN - This is just hideous, and desperately needs to be completely rehauled.

  3. STAT MIGRATION - We should not be the ONLY avenue of gaining a stat migration, "vital function" notwithstanding.

  4. ADDED ARTWORK - This is still by FAR the biggest issue of our profession, and the thing I get asked about the most.

  5. UI BUGS - Not being able to change clothes, not being able to ID if the person gets disconnected, etc.

1.Drastic inrease in the time to mastery due to the implementation of timers and experience rewards.
2.Drastic reduction in the profession's Fun Factor due to the implementation of stat migration.

1) The number one issue...decrease(or preferably remove)timers for all level of ID's, implement a maxium number of skills per day that you can train...i.e. maximum of 4 per day if you want to slow the grinders down, but still give dedicated ID hopefuls a sense of progress.

2) Number two issue...the color swatches are too dang tiny, I have to put on my glasses and get within a foot of the screen to see them (slight exageration, but not far off).

3) The third biggest issue...lack of content!!! Same boring hairstyles as always, just some new colors. More styles and things like tattos and scars would be super nice...also a little more tweaking on female body shape, our hip to waist ratio is still off.

4) My fourth suggestion is to get a fix for the male face bug...Zombies are scary!!!

5) Final suggestion for now, please remove mandatory stat migration from our skill list...I get so much grief from people about us scamming their money...give them the option to change it back without us (make it take a lil longer than it used to maybe), but if they want it fast...10 minutes (or less)...they can pay us for the convenience of having stats move quickly!!!

Thank you Kwee, for all you do!!!!!!!!

PS: Why can't I post colored fonts??? I'm peeved

1) New Image Design feature to put the "Designing Images" into our profession, refer to my Signature.

2) The timer IMO seems like something to make it harder to be MID, so why are MID's and our customers being punished? Timer should be grinding ID clientside only much like how you have to wait after stimpack ebfore you can use another one.

3) ID Terminal allowed to be placed in player cities and registered on the map, by a Master Image Designer.

4) Craftables.....like HOLOEMOTES, and give us a few more Holoemotes why you're at it.

5) Put the numbers back into the UI. I remember what a customer had bfore by their numbers, now I end up messing them up and getting an unhappy customer.

1. Image design experience gain rate is punishingly slow
2. Watching a timeris not fun gameplay
3. Being only avenue for stat migration is undesirable, allow slow migration for all players again
4. New UI Bugs/Improvements (e.g. tiny colors, no numbers on things we used to have, gargantuan non-resizable window)
5. We need more real content (hairstyles, tatoos, etc.)
