Thread: New Record???
heres how I did it. Grab a crate of V Brandy, grab a crate of M Gold .. grab a partner who has nothing to do for an hour, stand next to a trainer and group.
Eat 2 v Brandys and 1 Moungold ... setup macro as follows
/im;
/imageDesignSetValue hair_color 1;
/pause .25;
/ui action toolbarSlot##;
now sit down and hit your macro, you will gain xp as fast as they can click. In the first 10 minutes you should be done with Novice Entertainer to Novice ID. Now, during M Gold downer change macro to eye_color 1. rinse and repeat until you open the options for changing facial features. (faces 4 I think) Which you should be able to attain before the next M Gold Downer. Now change macro to cheeks 20 or whatever the default that comes up is when you try it out. Now during the next2 M Golds you should be able to average1.5 trees per cycle if your partner is fast enough. 130 something xp 4 times a second is about that I averaged. You will be done in under an hour. Or if you got a twillek as a partner it will go MUCH faster, 3 times the xp for doing the rat tails.
I know its been posted but I want to know how you did it in 52 mins. Cause when I get home I want to do it in 50 minutes than

Even though I feel for all holo grinders, and I know holo grinders upset you. I got to say this class needs a OVERHAUL bigtime. I admit I ground thourgh ID for my holo as fast as I could. Now heres the bad part .... I did it in 52 minutes! from novice entertainer to master ID in 52 minutes!
I make this post in the hopes you guys will get some attention, 52 minutes is obsurd.
It should be harder to make master image designer, but don't let mastering it in 52 minutes fool you. Actually doing image design, making it look right and finding out what the customer wants is not so easy.

I had a tailoring client last night who used to be a master image designer. After I made him a couple outfits (something for the field, something for the cantinas…) he asked if I would recommend any ID. Keep in mind, he used to be a Master Image Designer, he was the last one to ID himself…and he had no chin. So, yeah, sometimes even the serious IDers don't get it right, and you think that getting 22 skillboxes in 52 minutes really means you've mastered the profession?
It kind of reminds me of last night. I was talking to a member of my guild who is a master bioengineer about BE stuff and I mentioned that I consider BE to be a sideline for me and that image design is my real profession. He said he was suprised and never thought he would hear anyone say they actually *like* image design. He's a really nice guy and I didn't think he was intentionally trying to insult me, so I didn't get mad or anything. Anyway, he said that he thought it was basically just tweaking how people look and that there really wasn't much to it (which I think is what most people think). I said that was the basics of it, but that is kind of like making pets by sampling random creatures and throwing the ingredients randomly into a crafting tool. It makes a pet, but its a really crummy job.

Actually, this is why I love ID I just mastered over the BH I finished and dropped. You get the initial rush of a fast, no-grind mastery, and you still have a content-driven social profession to learn and play!
