Thread: first customer added to /addignore

Well I had my first customer added to /addignore last night....
I was with my master tailor/architect friend in her place, i had to deliver some structural modules i found lying around, so of course she as a new master Archy was really happy.
I get a /tell from a guy wanting an ID. I said sure, meet me in theed in 5 mins. I finish up with her, jump on my swoop and start heading there. I then get a /tell from the same guy, asking "are you coming??" I respond, yes i'm almost there, have patience.... that was my first sign this guy was trouble.
So i get to the salon in theed, do the stuff, no biggie there, he tips me 5k, since i run a tip as you feel type service....
I go to space, beat up on some black suns, well i ride back to coronet, found the space station wanted me to do a quest. So i said sure, i'll do it, i was bored.... about half way through the mission, i got a /tell asking me, Can you make such and such darker, I told him it was already pretty dark, but if you can give me a few minutes since i'm on this space quest, i'll land and change it to what you want. I get a /reply basically of him being disgusted with me not catering to his needs the very moment he wants them. Plus I dont care who you are, you can be patient and wait for the ID to finish her quest or whatever she's doing, I dont stand around the cantina and SP all damn day just waiting for customers... my MID toon is also a master riflewoman, she likes to hunt and harvest stuff also, make money on the side too.
So I finish my mission, land in Cnet, look around the guy isnt there, I ask him where he was, he says, i'm on dathomir hunting jedi.. He then asked, can u come to dath, i said NO. I have someone to meet here and something to do soon(which really was a lie), so i made him come back to cnet for the ID. He wasnt exactly happy about that. So he comes back, i fix the color, he then just leaves, disbands, doesnt tip and just a general A**. As he left, i typed /addignore and was done with that.
I usually drop everything to help someone, but when you treat someone like that, I dont think so buddy. You're on /addignore. Too bad so sad. find another ID.

That sucks. I think that mostly, we get thick-skinned about dealing with people like this. I've had enough of it as master ID on gorath, that when I created a MID on Kettemoor, I was able to /ignore people a lot faster and without any bad feelings at all.

My ignore list is longer than my friends list! It's just the nature of the game that if you're in a "service" profession, you will encounter some jerks.

Yeah, definitely feeling you on the occasional rude customers. It seems like "service profession" means "personal slave" to some people.

YeahI get that from time to time... just like the other day when the guy asked me, do I have to pay? well of course duh, i dont do this for free.....
only people get it for free are friends, guildies, my 2 alt's wives(which are on the other end, the same person), and new players. I always ID new players for free. Even last night, I was feeling generous when i first logged on and gave free ID, just because i felt like it

im not an ID but it took me ages to get my image right and i was always polite to my ID cuz i thought 'hey this is another player playing the same game as me they just took a different path i mean if someone was that rude to me i wouldnt just ignore them i would report them

I am kinda new to the id profession but i sure hope it don't give me a long ignore list after one year in the game my ignore list only has 3 peopel on it, 2 are afk spammers and one kept sending me harrasing tells after he ganked me when i was teffed and unbuffed pre cu(gee it real hard to kill an unarmed wookiee without any buffs with that mind fire ain't it)

I rarely have to /addignore an ID client. Most of the people on my /ignore list were held over from the stat migration days. Since those no longer exist, that sort of hateful treatment is mostly gone.
No, most of my /ignore list is spammers.
We hates spammers...

I had to /addignore some idiot who first harassed me rudely and then when I refused to ID him, and when I hopped on my bike to get away from him, he hopped on his bike and followed me around saying things like "You can't get away from me" and "ID me now." He followed me to the cantina where he was so obnoxious that he was challenged to a duel and promptly slain. /report /file ticket /addignore.

Ooooooooooh yes! Especially those AFK-Spammers from the Cantina in Theed make a good portion of my ignorelist on Gorath.

you actually have no idea
I love it when you're id'ing someone and they go afk.... you twiddle your thumbs waiting for a reply, then when u get it and get the person all fixed up, they then want to start from scratch all over again and do it over... /frustrate

AFK isn't that bad because I'll actually just get up and leave but I spent well over 10 minutes in THEED of all places (I have 256mb of RAM, I RARELY ever go to Theed) She FINALLY says "Yea...ok, that's what I want" so I hit "accept" or whatever and wait for her to do the same....then she goes LD and there's a person beside me asking for an ID and it keeps saying I was in an ID session even after she disappeared. I wish there was a way to /cancel im or something after we hit accept.
