Thread: Is it possible to master this in like 1.5 to 2 hours?
The last thing wanted is that. You know how little respect in game one gets for spending all of 2 hours mastering a profession? How about how many customers one gets? *shudder*

Without timers now it's possible to master ID pretty fast again, but I doubt you can do it within 2 hours. It's still the same amount of clicking to be done as before.
Actually, you can do it in a couple hours. With an inspiration buff and working on another player it is possible to get 330 experience about every 3 seconds. Call it 100 experience every second for some missed clicks and that comes to 6000 experience a minute. In one hour you'd have 360,000 ID experience. Since you only need 441K to master ID it should be possible to master within an hour and a half under perfect conditions.
lets say on inspo buff and iding a victem with a macro running i was maxing out on id xp in 2.5 mins (80K) lol i was doing the fs conversion thing whitch is still slower than just going out and killing thigs... but i would say under perf. conditions it is maby possible in 2-3 hours.

im still MR. Krone ID teacher teaching id 101..... let me say this.... I HATE IT WHEN I TEACH PPLE UP TO MASTER AND THEY SAY "OH I JUST GOT ID TO RESPEC TO RIFLES MAN" grrrr make my hard earnd prof the "joke" prof in the game.....
Not to quibble too much, but I don't think it is possible to max out ID experience in 2.5 minutes. That is 150 seconds. 80000 / 150 means you have to get 533 experience a second, or almost two ID sessions per second. Now, it's possible that you *might* be able to achieve that rate during double experience time as a master since it would take only one click per change using a macro to invoke the session and accept the changes. Otherwise, I just can't see it. And even then, for most people a delay of more like 2+ seconds is the fastest workable macro due to delays in bringing up the dialog/client and server synchronization, etc. Of course, I've been wrong about many things in the past
I dont use macro's, just my fingers and i could do 1 ID session in only a few secs. 10 creds bet i could master ID in well less than 2 hours and i may have to cause ive just changed my chars temps around and i need to do tailor/ID again today
you can master in under two hrs with a dummie, period
I did this I do not know how many times during the respec for alt toons
I showed other how to do the same to get their respec done and over with
3 macros sitting beside ID trainer you clicking and your done
All true and with that said if it's just a badge, go for it. I never do anything in games based on the actions of others. One of the things that baffled me pre CU was the insane prices on ca's. Even now, they are not impossible to get and easier than the credits people want for them. The point is, ID or BE, CH or BH if you are doing it for the fun, do it. If it is a 'worthless' proff your not enjoying your game or your proff.
I'm going to have alot of fun running my ID char around short and skinny, having her 'vanish' into a private house and then come out a pudgy tall girl. Everything in between will get added. You know people are going to scratch thier heads when they see a new char every time they see you and are going to want to have stuff tweaked. I plan to 'Play' the ID char and if I don't make a credit of well. If I can't kill a durni, oh well. I will get a little enjoyment from it and that is the point or so I thought.
dropped ID during the respec just to play around with other proffesions and lost most of my skill points. I remastered ID, working on myself with an insperation buff. I had the entertainer image designing 4 when I started my grind...and was a master ID agian within two hours. Yes...we're the cheapest skill point cost elite proffesion in the game, we serve no tangible purpose, and anyone can master it in a couple of hours (maybe a few hours they have to grind up thruy the ent tree)
Now anyone can master the ID profession, but actually being a master image designer (someone who can make any toon attractive and alluring) takes the kind of skill that you can't gain thru XP. But let's face it, these are dark times for non-combat professions. THe entertainer side of me has been nerf'd into uselessness, and the crafter side of me is nigh bankrupt due to the massivly awsome loot items being sold everywhere...
The economy of SWG is on the verge of collapse...good job DEVs.

can someone show the macro here? ive been iding myself for more then 6 hours and im 4/2/1/1 only.. i want to be able to change height my friend got tipped 100k for iding height!
I don't use a macro for this proff. Be warned, it's my guess Devs have tweaked the proff to make it a little harder to do what I am doing. They increased mind cost to the action of ID commit. I am now slowed down by about 40% of what I was when I first did this. That said, I won't be telling you what I do. Not because I don't want you to do it, not because I don't want to complicate Devs efforts to plug true exploits but because I don't agree with the extent they nerf stuff and I refuse to help them as long as they are
I will end this with again I don't use a Macro and I will say you didn't build your box structure the best way to advance. Self ID advance won't get you Master in 2 hrs, even before they increased mind costs that was unrealistic. A dummy and exp x2? Yep, that could do it. Right nowassuming nothing changes your looking at 4-5. Besides, your working on a bad premise. A jedi tipped me 200K just for buffing him and rather slow and more over, talking to him for a few minutes. Inspiration buff, not Bonus exp buff. Be cheery, be goofy, be funny. Shmooze. That gets you tips.
