Did a fix on Groupette today (see "looking for master ID on bloodfin") and found that I still didn't have the ability to alter her torso. She was just happy to have her old face back so it bothered me more than her. =P

You can not alter the torso of a mon cal. This option is not avalible even at creation.

Here's what Holo had to say...he does not indicate whether all of the broken abilities were fixed. However even if it is only Mon Cal/Trando fixes, we will all benefit from having eye shape. Let's go test all the changesout, find yourself a poor female Mon Cal or Trando, and I would suggest not charging the poor things, but that's me

From the programmer who's been trying to solve this for ya for the last couple of days:

(1) If you are a Mon Calamari female and you logged in sometime between the first day of the new patch and early morning on August 20, 2003, your appearance customizations are most likely lost.

(2) If you are a Mon Calamari female and you have not logged in sometime between the first day of the new patch and early morning on August 20, 2003, your appearance customizations should be preserved.

We've gone ahead and made the updates to image designers to be able to access all the different customization with Mon Cal females, so you should be able to visit an ID to get restored.

I'm sorry we don't have better news for you on this front.

Eye Shape/Eye Angle isn't fixed, no--and is the one thing I totally couldn't fix on my mon cal visitors today. My current big issues are still eye shape, hair brownness, and twi'lek eyebrows.

Doh, ok... that would be why then. When I saw Kwee's list of pre-fix things we couldn't do for Mon Cal gals, (Dev Tracker, "latest word on theMon Cal females") I thought torso was something we should've been able to change... heh now I understandher 'poor things' comment better. ^.^;; Thanks Thorth.

If was having some very strange problems last night:

On customer had "in the processes of" error message. He logged, it didn't work. I logged, it still didn't work.

On a trand, he had the ridge pattern in his inventory after I IDed him.

Colors were also very screwy showing strands of rainbow colors every now and then.


I've never had these problems before. Anyone else experiencing this?

haha after changing a friend's hair a few weeks ago (he's a human) we found that his hair was in his inventory. we passed it around like a hot potato for awhile and got a big kick out of giving someone 'Jerryn's hair' it finally disappeared but yes i've had that happen before. I've also gotten stuck in an image design after iding and had to wait until the person logged out completely (meaning i had to wait until the server dumped her character which usually takes at least 15 minutes if not longer) before i was able to id again.

I ran into this one a few days back, when I was doing an ID on a client that was trying to get restored from a Newbie IDbotching it up. I couldn't find anything on the forums, but the magic of google found the error. Ironically, on the forums. The only fix for this one is time. They need to log off and stay off for some amount of time, best guess is between 15min-2hours.

Wish I could help more than that.

That bugged (in process of) is caused by an Image Designer going LinkDead while still in the 'select changes' phase (After typing /imagedesign, but before Commit).

It effectively locks them out of ImageDesign until their character fully logs out and back in.

Somthing ihave found is you cant change Rodian hair color.

I believe they only did changes relevant to Mon Cals and Trandos. Has anyone tried mouth size on Trandos yet? I posted on Holo's latest thread about there still not being a torso and eye shape option. I know they coudlnt customize torso in char creation, but they at least had some chest, and now they are flat chested like the guys apparently.

Btw, on test notes for yesterday it said they updated ID's to do ALL mon cal/trando changes. Wonder if that means they fixed eye shape at least???

I don't know about the Mon Cals and Trandoshans, but last night, human 'eye shape' still does eye angle.

Last night I was looking at the Entertainer skill trees (dancer, musician) and I spotted that they have a new ability available at Novice Dancer and Musician.... it is called Register location on Global Directory. They type /register and their name appears on the global map.

I am FUMING that this was not given to Image Designers also. I am a master ID, and when I type /register, it tells me I do not have the skill level necessary to use that command. Are we THAT MUCH of the red-headed step child that something that was implememted for the other entertainer classes, we are not worthy of?

All this time, I have given up the points to ALMOST be at Advertising III as a merchant, just so I can get a listing there, even if it is for a shop that I dont sell anything at... just to get my name out there.

ID Correspondent (sorry too early to remember the name), please, please, please, take this up with the Devs. This tells me how little they care about our class, and like I said, I can live with the bugs, I can live with the glitches... but by golly I pay just as much to SOny to play this game, and I deserve the same coddling that CH are getting.
