Thread: What are your customers asking for that they can't get?
I'm pleased to find that in the lastcouple of weeks, since hangingthe words Master Image Designer over my head, there have been fairlysteady requests from players that I try tochange or enhance their avatar's image. Unfortunately in many cases I'm unable to give the customer what they'relooking for.
There's a lot I could sayhere about the general state of Image Design as a profession. There's a lot I could say about what I personally would love to see by way of further development forthe skill set, for additional game content, andaboutchanges needed for betteringthesad sad sad interface we use to ply our trade.The thing is, I really don't want to invest myselfheavily here on the boards when Iunfortunetly have very little confidence that this profession will be paid the attention that it needs. Maybe once we make itintoone ofQ's postson what's in development forprofessions I won't be so worried about just becoming frustrated over getting my hopes up when I shouldn't have.
Sooo I'll just make it short and sweet...
Right from jump, customers want...
Tattoos!Everybodywants tattoos. Well, everyone without fur anyway. And even a few with fur want tattoos.Zabraks want body tat's and non Zabraks want facial and body tat's.
Color...more color!Customers want green horns...purple hair...blue hair...bright red frills...etc. And the same goes for skin color. Players want more choices inwild colors.
Even more hairstyles. Dreads...I get asked for dreads a lot. There is one style with what looks like very shortspikey dreads. But it looks more spikey than it does dready. Distinctive, longer,dreads are sought after. I've also had requests for 'fros.And a lot of folks ask forpunk doosother than mohawks.It's hard for playersto nail down discriptions for me beyond "punk but not mohawk".My best guess is thatmore choices withspikey and asymetrical typestyles might be what players would like if they saw them.
I reckon I'll leave it at that. Those are the top requests I'm hearing. What are the rest of you ID'ers hearing?
You pretty much nailed the first three. Also...
1/zabrak females really really want hair all over their heads for the styles that end halfway up their scalps. Make them look like they have receding hairlines.
2/some have asked for hairstyles only available to the opp. gender, or to other species.
3/ many requests for tattoos/markings not in char creation.

Wookiees want more options, hair style or otherwise.
Everyone wants tattoos in every possible place
Weight and muscle to be added by body part instead of to the whole body
More and more distinct hair styles
And most of all, people want even bigger breasts 
You nailed it.. Also mon cals seem to want some new spot patterns...
I'm a Zeb male.. so the bald horns are fine with me.
However my other Toon is a Zeb Female. It really pisses me off that there are alot of diff Styles out there for the NPC yet the IDs and Players get the shaft. **edit** is up with that. Lazzzzyyyyy?
1. Hair Colors :True Black, True White, Unnatural colors, Blue, Purple, Pink,Bright Red etc
2. Blush?
3. More Lipstick/Shadow shades, or a way to custom make our own shades
4. A low on the neck ponytail for the guys, Anime look is not for everyone, where is that sleek ponytail look for the boys?
5. More styles , styles , styles, not all style seen are available to us
6. Tattoos for all
7. Eyelashes? =) Im assuming we have none for a reason but lashes would be nice
8. I can braid your hair nine days from sunday but sorry I cant shave your head bald *laughs*, yea we all know but I still find it funny that was missed
9. I would love to be able to adjust hair length on a silder bar or something.
10. Piercings, ears, nose, lips, belly I have been asked to do
I have nothing more to add to this all of the things list are also things that I have been asked for ... Except, how can we do bellybutton piercing when I have really seen no bellybuttons on any stomachs?
