Thread: Macros Disappearing

When I write a macro I am able to use it but after re-logging I have no or very little text in my macros. This is happening to just more than me and I took it upon myself to post. I also at times have multiple macros in my macro browser which I have to delete! Anyone else having this issue?

yes, I think what you are doing it copying and pasting from another location. You have to manually type it in or it will disapear. Use to happen to me a lot till I figured that out. I cant explain the bug, but I know typing it in manually fixed the issue. I was copying and pasting from an email and that never seemed to hold my macro. Type it in manually and it always stayed.

Yup.
Is the icon changing too? Mine goes to the one with bathroom man on it, moving back and forth... it's freakin annoying.
Good advice, i'll try that... or paste to an ascii editor first.

I found that happens when you put an icon onto another one in the toolbar. if you "remove" the first one, then add new icon, it sticks.

There are certain macros that go away for everyone I ever asked..
There is this one badarse crafting macro that _always_ goes away when you relog.
If a macro is bigger then so many characters it will get screwed over on login, it make the icon have an animation and cause in-valid enteries in your macro feild..
Just figure out what works and stick with it or use /load
This game is endlessly b0rked, keep that in mind and it all makes much more since.
