I am doing the quests for Whip in aurilla and one of my prisoners that i have to rescue is stuck in a tree, how can i about this quest of get him out of the tree, i have tried speaking with whip again but no joy please help

Use scout skills to drop a basic camp in the immediate vicinity.

Hopefully this will flatten out the terrain in the area and free the villager from trees/rocks etc.
