How do I copy and paste from say like word on my computer to the in game notes. I need a hint or 2 or if you can a step by step on how to do this and what the file names are. Also so I can do this in revers and get info from ingame note to my desk top notes. thanks in advance.

i assume you mean where can you find the notepad that you can access ingame...
1. My computer
2. C:
3. Program files
4. starwarsgalaxies
5. profiles
6. (your login name)
7. the file is in there...named notes...
all these steps are assuming you installed to the default directory and have windows i guess 
then if you are in game at the same time you ahve to close the notepad ingame to have it save the info you cut and paste into it...
that is all there is to it!

Although the previous reply is helpful, Im guessing you were wondering particularly about your ability to copy and paste from an outside application to SWG. For example, copying a document from MS Word to your SWG Notepad.
To do this, theres some basic setup you need to do on your SWG Keymap
1) Press Control+O to access your options screen
2) Select the Controls Tab from the lefthand menu
3) Click the 'Keymap' Button at the bottom of the screen. (This will bring up a list of all your current key bindings for use in-game)
4) Click on the tab labeled 'Chat' within your keymap settings.
5) Find Chat Text Copy and Chat Text Paste within this list.
6) Bind a new key to these settings as there is no default binding. (I use Shift+Control+C for copy and Shift+Control+V for paste. Using Shift+Control+V will overwrite another binding, but I have never used this key setting before so it will be no big loss)
7) Click on 'Apply' and then 'OK'. If you do not click apply the settings will not be saved.
8) Click 'Done' on your Options screen to close it and you're done.
Now to copy and paste from outside applications, use the standard control+C to copy the entry, open your SWG Client window, and use your new binding for paste to apply the text to SWG. You can also use these bindings to copy and paste within SWG i.e. from your notepad directly to an email message within SWG.
