Hehe...Lots of things in the movies we're just normal, household things with random bits attached. Wasn't one of the Comlinks in TPM a razor?

yes, and many of the laser weapons in the movies were just modified RL guns.

well one thing I like to say is the o so dear laser rifle of the rifleman if you add a lower unit to it doesn't it look like a sawed off shotgun? even has a small detectable ejection port.

Yep. A good friend of mine has one and it looks JUST like a lightsaber... it has buttons and everything lol. It looks just like vaders saber...

My brother and I have built plastic models for most of our lives. In the old days when space vehicles in movies were actual models -- as opposed to digital creations -- the model makers used to buy tons of plastic kits to scavange parts from. My brother and I used to spot parts from kits we'd built all the time.
