Thread: How Long Do I Have To Wait For The Old Man

Hi There
How long does it take for the old man to visit you, i have been glowy for 3 days now and still no sign, i am not in a player city and have tried logging in and out repeatedly what else can i try to get him to visit me,

Should be within 3days... logging in\out and being out of a player city should not really make a difference. I got my visit in a merchant tent in a player city..... Most of the people I know got there visits in player cities, some in houses etc etc. There are many "tricks" but your best bet is just to play as normal and he will come when he is ready.
I'd give it another 24hrs and then log a ticket.
It may be that he came and you were afk or something, in which case he will come again.

When I became glowy 6 and a half months ago, the trick was to wait beside a player city shuttleport. Not sure if this still works... you may want to try placinga house anywhere and declaring residency there (worked for my buddy on his second old man visit.... as soon as he declared residency, the old man showed up). If none of this works, then maybe the devs are using this as a method of jedi-control (ie. not fixing the bug) which would be nice.

Took me 3 days. He should come very soon. He came to me out somewhere in the wilderness on corellia(just logged on for first time that day)

it took me just under 2 days for the old man to turn up, i just shuttled to my PA city, and ran around in circles just outside our shuttle port.. noticed a white dot on the map, ran over and was pleasently surprised to see him there! good luck, i also had to wait another 24 hours for the sith.

Yea, Player City's are actually the ONLY place I have seen the old man, 
so that's definately not the problem. Mine came in my player city at the shuttleport as soon as I landed.

thanks alot guys, all this was for my firend, i logged him in tonight and within minutes of standing outside our house he turned up, thanks for all your help.
