Well everyone seems to have a different definition for lag. If you mean how well you are sending and receiving packets then I can't say I've noticed any change in that department. If you mean framerate, however, then yes, I have seen a very definite drop. The biggest drop in the whole two years I've been playing in fact. I know places like Coronet have always had a reputation for being laggy, but has anyone seen how it is impossible to rotate your character in that city now without it being a slideshow? Even if I just look at the city from a distance it kills my computer, and it never used to do that.
I'm guessing it is related to one of two things--the terrain butchering that the devs first introduced in publish 13, or the awkward character movement that introduced in publish 14. Either way, the devs need to stay on the ball and be more careful that they aren't breaking something important in the game when they so haphazardly change things around.

i live in alaska on an island and get my high speed internet by satellite and have 700+ ping ALWAYS. im not running a great computer either, 512 RAM, athlon xp 2100 and a radeon 9200 video card, but still manage to get 30 frames per second in big cities. you might check your settings, sometimes mine change to default and that slows me down alot. just remember when your lag spikes to 200, remember that guy from alaska that has 700+ ping ALWAYS and you will feel much better.

this is really startin to tick me off, i tried selecting missions to do on mission terminals, and it accepts other missions that i didnt choose. seriously, something has to be done and i agree with you about it being the new movement system

Well my lag last night was staying strong between 2000-3000 ms ping and spiking to 3500-4000, and I never saw the framerate higher than 10. This in the wilderness of tatooine at least 2k from any player or static city.

Nope, not a thing. I even ctrl+atl+del and manually end any processes that aren't windows or SWG. It's only on eclipse though, everything was fine on bria last night, except that it took me 3-4 times when selecting "loot" for it to loot.

The newest issue I have with lag is the time it takes for things to appear in your inventory after you pick something up, loot a corpse or anything else.
