I have completely fogotten how to do this and I want to change the names of my probots but I don't know how. I have been looking all over for the info but can't find it so does anyone know exactly how to do this?

program 4 commands with the name in fron:

bob a
bob b
bob c
bob d

then reprogram them without the name.

has to be diffrent commands

If I remember correctly, naming droids and pets became more dynamic a few patches ago...

You train your droid with the commands you want them to follow. Then, when you are using the droid, you preface the command with the name you want the droid to have; i.e. using the "follow" command, you'dsay,"Bob follow." After a few of these, the droid should pick up it's name... you'll see a little (Bob?) go floating up over the droid's head.

Certainly, the old way of training and retraining should work. But I haven't needed to name a droid either, for a while now.

I wonder if they have gotten around to fixing the naming problem with protocol and LE droids. Maybe I should check that again.

I recently bought 2 protocol droids and naming them is still an issue.

- I'll always miss pre-CU but I still have fun.

Why is it so difficult to rename a droid? cant there just be a radial menu option like when you rename a backpack? the current system seems needlessly complex.

Any chance the game will ever have a more sensible interface for naming droids?

I mean, with pets it makes sense that they have to figure out their names by using it in all their commands. That also saves pet naming for higher level CHs.

But droids!? I can rename a starship with a "rename" command, I don't have to run several sentences by my X-wing until it takes the hint.
