they will come to u just like the old man did no matter what u are doing. it takes about 24hrs after the oldman visits u. many of my guild mates have killed the Sith pirates...and it was 24hrs on the nose for all of us so far.

You can be visited in under 24 hours, my friend was, I was with her when the old man visited her and with her a few hours later when the sith attacked her. Apparently doing a full log out (logging out and waiting for your character to time out) will reset it and make the sith come quicker.

how long does it take to do a full log out? 15 minutes?

I say the logout theory is nothing but a superstition. I tried it multiple times and got diddly squat.
Only when I gave up and was in the middle of Fanshotting a whole bunch of Mokks did the Sith goons appear out of nowhere, almost 24 hours after Santa came to visit me.
