Each week, Q-3PO started a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. Tuesday Tips will continue on. Have a little known command you use all the time, a cool place to visit, a trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game? Share it here. To get things started:

Sharing Waypoints

Waypoints are useful for finding POI’s, marking favorite locations or even your own structures and equipment, but have you ever wanted to get a friend to meet you at your house? Have you ever needed to tell a possible customer where your main shop is? How about tried to plan a raid and invite someone new to come join you? Well there are a few ways you can share waypoints:

Slash Command

If you’re chatting with someone and you want to meet someplace, you can instantly create a waypoint by using the slash command. Simply type:

/waypoint x y

(X is the first number on your radar to the left and y is to the right.)

e-mail attachment

You can also use the in-game email system to share one or more locations. This is handy for telling customers where your new store is, planning raids and other group activities. You can do this by:

1. Create a new waypoint in your datapad.

2. Pull up your mail window (CTRL-E) and open up a new mail message.

3. Click and drag the waypoint into the mail window and drop it in the little box in the lower right titled, “Attachments”.

Option: If you want to share the waypoint with lots of friends, you can send the mail to a few friends by separating each name with a semicolon, like this: JustG, Keldarin; GarVa;

4. Click send and you’re done.

For business people

If you own a business or run a service and want to share a waypoint with a client/prospective customer, visit a Droid Engineer and check into getting yourself a merchant module! The merchant module enables a droid to play back a recorded message and give out waypoints by request.

Actually the command is:

/waypoint x y

if you use a comma after the x the game will react with an error message.

Not sure if this will just be overlooked but I have a suggestion. I played Asheron's Call 2 before and there was a very nice alias that would print your current location. This is very handy when somebody sends you a tell asking "Where are you?". You could then reply "I am at %LOC" which would expand to "I am at (4322, -376)" for instance.

Be warned some users experience regular difficulties when attempting to save attached WP's in in-game e-mails. When there are more than one WP in a mail some users find they are unable to save all the WP's to their datapad. The error suggests they already have the WP saved. Instead, send multiple e-mails with one WP in each. TH: Numerous bug reports have been sent...

Small note about the Merchant droid... you need Ad 4 to use it.

found this on a diff site....stealing it for here...great tip!

You can call your armor out of a droid without calling the droid and opening the storage:
1. Put your armor on a toolbar and put your armor in a droid.
2. Store the droid. Now press the armor in the toolbar.
Viola, the armor is now in your main inventory. Push the armor in your toolbar again to equip.

That last post is to say, that you're current waypoints can be seen at the bottom of your radar.

Multiple waypoints in the same mail is bugged. If you try to send more than one waypoint in a mail, only the first waypoint the receiver "saves to datapad" will work... the other one will not work. It would be nice if you guys would fix this.

thanks
