"Alum Gel Packet" and I believe it is used to make the rebreathers for the Jedi/TKM to breath in the mines. People who wear armor shouldn't use rebreathes as they take a helmet slot, and without a helmet, you'll die much quicker.

Not true. A ranged toon can use a rebreather instead of a helmet and be better off, you can use more specials from a safe distance while others in your group tank the mobs. With good tanks, the damage dealers shouldn't worry too much about taking damage.

Not sure about the rebreather quest itself, but crafting rebreathers is working fine.
So the Alum Gel Packet isn't completely worthless ![]()

The rebreather quest is not borked, it works perfectly fine. I have working rebreathers on Wanderhome and Chimaera.
All you need is a looted rebreather, an alum mine gel pack, an artisan who can combine the gel pack with a filter (which must be done at a workbench inside the DWB), and presto, you got yourself a working rebreather.
