Same thing happened to me.... got attacked again in about an hour and got a datapad that worked.

I've found that if you loot from the first sith you kill, before finishing off the second, then the datapad you get doesn't work (three times this happened to me), but if you just don't loot till both are dead, it works fine. Just get the sith again (shuttling around and wait for five minutes, if they don't appear, shuttle again, to player cities) and don't loot till they're both dead.

ok, so i killed the pirates and looted them getting the waypoint datapad when I selected 'use' from the radial menu I got this message saying you can extract information from this object unless you loot it when it was in my inventory! is there any help for this or must I just wait 1-3 days for the sith to visit me again?

heh this bug happend on the tc from time to time. just place the datapad in your backpack if you have one on and then use the datapad while its in your pack. That should fix it

*whisper* but I hear if you log in wait awhile log out wait etc.... he comes faster you know if this is true?

uh dont count on that being true heh. Im sure it may have heppend to some people but not to everyone. What I do know is that there are some instances where the sith will attack you again outa nowhere even if you have a working datapad or not so you might get lucky and be attacked again in the same day.
