1. Armor repair can be done by anyone. There are no bonuses being a master armorsmith, so don't go begging your local AS to do it for you. Although this isn't definitive, from my experience, the higher the condition on your armor, the more likely it will stay intact. That is to say, if your armor is at 75%, you will get decent results, but if you're at 50%, you are more likely toreduce it to 1/1. Hopefully devs will get the code for repairing to work (i.e. give master AS high rate of success, make AA's work, have experiment condition affect rate of success, etc.). This issue, however, will most likely be at a WAY later date (armor revamp perhaps?). Repairing in general should be done when the item is about 70-80% to become most effective. However, because it isn't 100% guaranteed, there is a chance u will lose the armor piece. All of this applies to weapons as well.
2. I just received my "inner glow" about 3 days ago, and the "old man" visited me last night while i was tending to my harvestors. I would give it about 72 hours for him to visit ya. What you have stated seems to be the most likely time for him to visit. Specifically, you just have to be at least 1000m away from a major city (i.e. Mos Eisley, Coronet, etc.). I've heard it can also happen in a player city. Just be patient and he will come.
3. The fastest way to do this is ask a Rebel Master Smuggler w/ 5200 fp for sale. The going rate depends on your server, but it usually is 105 -110 creds per fp (Master Smugglers feel free to flame me on this). This will remove your Imp faction and give you enuf to go reb (welcome to the cause :smileyhappy

I disagree completly armor should not be reaired until the stats start dropping atound the 50% mark and also if your local AS is any good like mine he will have a repair suit with +armor repair tapes on it

Seems like when you look for the old man he dosen't show.
I was at a mission terminal at a city on Rori, when I turned around there he was right in front of me.Actually he startled me, Iclicked on him and conversed, he gave mesomething and walked away. I watched him as he walked away and about 70m away he vanished.
When you least expect it there he is.
Armor and weapons can be repaired with a good tool. SOE needs to fix the tremendous hits weapons take when being repaired.
It's ridiculous how a weapon can go from 1006 to 700 in one hit when being repaired.

What's the point of condition if you can just perfectly repair a weapon whenever you want? Whine more.

For your change of FP, why paying 5200 FP? Just exchnage your current FP either for Xp or buy some Faction perk!!! and buy the remaining FP to change faction. At 100 to 150cr the faction point, you will save a lot of money!!!!

It must be that if you only have a "slight sence" or whatever it is that I have that you come across the old guy all the time. Since Friday, Ive seen him close to Coronet hanging around down by the river at least 6 times. He has nothing to say to me.
As far as wsitching alliances, Im in the same process and it sucks. Its taking forever. It managed to get -3300 Imp points in a matter of a few days and its taking me what seems like forever to try and sway them the other direction. Does anyone know of any tricks to speed up that process? only getting @ 16-20 faction points per mission is taking forever.

To Froog
No one is whining jackass. I'm simply pointing out that the hits are quite big on weapon repairs.
Back then it was thought that only master weaponsmiths could properly repair weapons and no one else. I remember talking to several who didn't want to repair any weapons for the public because of these huge hits. Theywould say many people got upset the weapons would go to 1/1 or take a huge hit when the smiths tried to repair them.
To this day weapons still go down a lot. And of course they should or else Weaponsmiths wouldn't be able to keep selling. But not with these type of huge hits.
Seems no one can say anything without some idiot running off at the mouth without fully comprehending whats going on.

You're a whining moron who doesn't understand how the game works.

um not sure even the dev's know how game works either after seeing some of the changes they have made LOL As for repairing no one at this time does better than another unless a fix was stealthed patched profession mods to repair and any mod bonus items they have do not work.
Thinking someone is better at repairing is like taking a placebo. As long as you have convinced yourself that repair bonus works that is all that matters. Happiness is a state of mind not a place you can see or an item that can be held.
