Just play the game as you would normally do until the old man visits you. Many people will offer their theories on how to get the old man to visit you sooner. They are all false because there is always someone else's experience which will disprove it. From what I understand, it could take up to three days. I am on day two.

Well im now entering day 3 and still no sign of the old bugger. Ive tried all the various things to supposedly hurry him along but none of them have worked for me, so i guess it's sit and wait in the wilderness and see if he turns up today.

I agree, all this stuff about making the old man come faster is crap. I was hunting jedi in a player city when I got visited by him. I was also visited by the sith outside a cantina in a player city so all this 'sitting in the wilderness' stuff seems a little far fetched. The only trick I admit to doing was meditating in front of a jedi shrine but tbh, I only did it because one was 800m away from me at the time.

Player cities are ok. It's NPC cities that aren't.

I got glowing at about 5 AM Sunday morning.

I logged in tonight about 11:45 pm, and drove 1000 meters from my house, which is at the very edge of the city I live in. I pulled out a camp kit, sat down, made a replacement kit, and when I looked up, there was the old man.

The old man visited me inside of someone's vendor house. This is further clarification that he will visit you anywhere. Do not sit out in the middle of nowhere. It makes no difference. The old man visited me within a minute of logging in on day three.

You should type some words in the Search Box at the bottom of your screen and stop cluttering up the boards with useless threads such as this one....thats what you should do.
