it's not that hard really..

1. get mission to stupid slicer or holonet broadcaster

2. close to about 100m

3. unequip any ranged weapons and press peace once to prevent auto-retaliatory fire when you get aggroed

4. when slicer/broadcaster aggros, keep hitting peace and pull him away from his spawnpoint 100-200m is good

5. when combat ends, BURST RUN back to him and use the /startCon -command to start a conversation as soon as you are in range (or open the radial menu through keyboard shortcut and click converse as soon as it lights up)

6. if you get re-aggroed before you can start conversation, repeat from step 4

after 1-2 tries you usually get the conversation started, then you can just kill the **edit** for being so pesky.

Or, just write a macro and place it in the first slot of your toolbar like this:

/conv;

/pause 1;

/peace;

/ui action toolbarSlot00:

the mission giver (Loam?) says you must use the element of surprise with the slicer - all this means is using burst run to run towards him and then doing /conv or using radial (probably, i used conv)

if you try and converse and you are not burst running he will attack

Don't know wether this still works, but kill him, target the corpse, and type /conv

How many times have you killed the slicer in the Emperors retreat mission?

Or killed any other npc that you needed to talk toin order toadvance in a quest.

Well i was out in the field trying to talk to a gungan for padawan trial and he kept aggroin me.

I tried walkin away slowly while spamming peace, but no luck because he was ranged (and never switched to melee)

And when he did finally peace me, I was too far away to converse. So after an hour of frustration I thought I need to get this guy preoccupied or sumthin.

So luckily I hada combat droid in my datapad.I whipped it out and told it to attack. While it attacked i walked up and tried to converse. I had to destroy the combat droid before it would let me converse. But IMO wastinga couple of bucks is better than grinding -5000 fp.
