Thread: Inventory Control with pub 10?
Now, I know what the intentions were, to get rid of meatlump camping and all other types of stuff, I wonder if u can still shoot though? Anway, but what I'm concerned with is if I've got about 20 inventory slots left and I'm in a group of NS rangers killing and looting, while taking on about 5 of them at once. I havea mouse key to loot and I usually loot while I'm fighting, right before I switch enemies. Now what is going to happen if one of them decides to drop like 11 leathers, another one drops like 8 of something else and so on.I know there have been numerous occasions it has told me that # items were left on corpse because something I just looted hada lot of something, like 2 in row with 8 leathers each. So I see the message, back off when I can and delete what I don't need and come back. I guess now I will just die.

"Inventory
Encumbrance for inventory has been added. If a player's inventory is overfull/overloaded by means of loot, quest rewards, etc, the player will no longer be able to move. If this occurs, a player will have to choose and delete an item from inventory before being able to move again. When you are overloaded by +1 items, your inventory icon begins to blink (like when you have email messages). When you are overloaded by +2 items, you get a big red message in the middle of your screen that never goes away that says "Inventory Overloaded- You can not move."
hmm

Well I've had no choice but to delete all pieces except for 9 of the 10 orange rug components. But I'm still getting the message & can't move. My inventory icon is not blinking whatsoever. Great.
Edit: Heh, & to top it all off, I can't even trade the rest of them to another character because *my* inventory is full (it's not, but the game says it is). Excellent job dev's *applause*.

open a ticket and quit whining - 'im stuck' tickets get highest priority.
Should have thought about this before you deleted all those loot peices. But you have to blame the devs for your own mistakes - because they put a gun to your head and forced you to load yourself so full that you overflowed (i bet you left out the part about killing/looting something while moving this stuff right? because you dont just randomly get stuff popping into your inventory).
So it's the devs fault that you didn't open some room in your backpack (or use the backpack at all?), or that you didn't put some stuff in one of 5 (five) storage droids you can have giving you an extra 50 (fifty) inventory slots? Or that you couldn't possibly bring yourself to *gasp* have to make 2 trips to move all your stuff? Or that you couldn't drop some things off in the bank before picking up the peices you want to move, and grabbing the other items after you're done?
It's all the dev's fault that you are stuck now, and that you deleted your 'expensive' loot peices instead of other items in your inventory.
OHHH crap, i'm sorry - i didn't notice you're name... zdrive, yeah, the devs do hate you, i heard them talking in the bathroom about how they were going to get you!
zdrive wrote:What are you talking about, my inventory had like 36 things in it, it wasn't overloaded. All of your points are ridiculous. & I can complain about the bugs in this game just like anyone else so **edit**.Anyway I logged off/on & I can move now so it was yet another bug.
You should've thought of that before you deleted anything >.>
As for the original poster, you cannot get overloaded through looting. When you hit the 60/60, it will simply tell that one or more containers were left on the corpse. The only way I ever got overloaded was through unequipping my armor (fe when switching from compo to ubese). But that wouldnt be a good idea to do during battle anyway
