Ok, what is this?

"Inventory

  • Encumbrance for inventory has been added. If a player's inventory is overfull/overloaded by means of loot, quest rewards, etc, the player will no longer be able to move. If this occurs, a player will have to choose and delete an item from inventory before being able to move again. When you are overloaded by +1 items, your inventory icon begins to blink (like when you have email messages). When you are overloaded by +2 items, you get a big red message in the middle of your screen that never goes away that says "Inventory Overloaded- You can not move."

  • Now, I know what the intentions were, to get rid of meatlump camping and all other types of stuff, I wonder if u can still shoot though? Anway, but what I'm concerned with is if I've got about 20 inventory slots left and I'm in a group of NS rangers killing and looting, while taking on about 5 of them at once. I havea mouse key to loot and I usually loot while I'm fighting, right before I switch enemies. Now what is going to happen if one of them decides to drop like 11 leathers, another one drops like 8 of something else and so on.I know there have been numerous occasions it has told me that # items were left on corpse because something I just looted hada lot of something, like 2 in row with 8 leathers each. So I see the message, back off when I can and delete what I don't need and come back. I guess now I will just die.

i thought this was just for rewards? can you overload by looting now? i would hope not, that would be a good way to get you killed...

EVERY other MMORPG game that has encumberance has somesort of way around it for a short period of time. Either a storage container on a vehicle, or a strength spell, potion, skill, ect. If they want encumberance they need a way for people who are busy looting to not get scrooged. The only good thing is that even if your not able to move and you die... your items come back with you when you clone

    Just brilliant dev's!

I was saving my loot kits in my house, for when I (eventually...) get the adhesives & complete them. However I decided to move them from one house to another, so placed them in my inventory & proceeded to head off to my other house. About halfway there, suddenly I can no longer move, I see a message saying that the reason is because my inventory is overloaded. **edit**!? I bought these when the kits first came out for alot of creds (they're worth jack now, but that's not the point) & now what am I supposed to do, I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere & I'm expected to delete them? This is BS, the dev's are always coming out with some new crap to annoy us! Gee I wouldn't want to be prevented from picking them up in the first place, noo that would be too logical, let's wait til the unsuspecting PAYING customer is far away from their house & THEN tell them they have overloaded their inventory...

    BAH!

Well I've had no choice but to delete all pieces except for 9 of the 10 orange rug components. But I'm still getting the message & can't move. My inventory icon is not blinking whatsoever. Great.

Edit: Heh, & to top it all off, I can't even trade the rest of them to another character because *my* inventory is full (it's not, but the game says it is). Excellent job dev's *applause*.

open a ticket and quit whining - 'im stuck' tickets get highest priority.

Should have thought about this before you deleted all those loot peices. But you have to blame the devs for your own mistakes - because they put a gun to your head and forced you to load yourself so full that you overflowed (i bet you left out the part about killing/looting something while moving this stuff right? because you dont just randomly get stuff popping into your inventory).

So it's the devs fault that you didn't open some room in your backpack (or use the backpack at all?), or that you didn't put some stuff in one of 5 (five) storage droids you can have giving you an extra 50 (fifty) inventory slots? Or that you couldn't possibly bring yourself to *gasp* have to make 2 trips to move all your stuff? Or that you couldn't drop some things off in the bank before picking up the peices you want to move, and grabbing the other items after you're done?

It's all the dev's fault that you are stuck now, and that you deleted your 'expensive' loot peices instead of other items in your inventory.

OHHH crap, i'm sorry - i didn't notice you're name... zdrive, yeah, the devs do hate you, i heard them talking in the bathroom about how they were going to get you!

What are you talking about, my inventory had like 36 things in it, it wasn't overloaded. All of your points are ridiculous. & I can complain about the bugs in this game just like anyone else so **edit**.

Anyway I logged off/on & I can move now so it was yet another bug.

You should've thought of that before you deleted anything >.>

As for the original poster, you cannot get overloaded through looting. When you hit the 60/60, it will simply tell that one or more containers were left on the corpse. The only way I ever got overloaded was through unequipping my armor (fe when switching from compo to ubese). But that wouldnt be a good idea to do during battle anyway
