Thread: For Those Using Printing Kits/Datadisc Repair Kits

It's quite simple:

The system does not have a list for what you have in the kit when you drop things in. When you loot multiple kits that take the parts, such as the Printer Kit for the posters, you have to remember what you're putting into it.

For the Viewscreen Printer that looks like a Muon Gold:

Blank Canvas

Datapad Technical Reader

Paint Cartredge

Paint Dispersal Unit

GRAY Broken Viewscreen

That will combine together to give you a random poster.

For the Printing Kit that looks like a Ship Deed:

Blank Canvas

Paint Cartredge

Paint Dispersal Unit

BROWN Broken Viewscreen

That will combine to give you a random poster.

Something that I've found is that the Viewscreen Printer tends to give you slightly more intricate posters such as the Freedom, Droid in Contrast and the Bio Engineer Poster. After figuring this out, I've managed to make not only 10 of the posters available for myself, but copies of them for guildmates on Eclipse.

The Datadisc Repair Kit also works the same way. Your items WILL disappear and it is up to you to determine what item goes into what kit if you have multiples in your inventory.

Thank you and happy looting.

Who drops the gray broken view screen?

Also, if you put the item in already it won't accept it again, I've tried.

Dunno where the grey ones drop, the ones i had were old loot i had tucked away.

Turned them into a 'Freedom' and 'Double Helix' poster though, so i love' em.

on the datadisk repair kits...last night I looted a bunch of these & was putting in the various parts. Last night it wouldn't accept any of them if I had already used it..however, when I logged back in this morning, I was able to put the same parts into the kits.

Where do you get the kits that you put these items into?...junk dealers or lootable only?

The same thing happened to me. But unfortunately, it seems as though it totally ignored the items that were already in from the previous day. The only component I needed was Wire for two kits. I put the wire in, and nothing happened. Just for kicks I stuck another corrupted disk in and it got eaten.

Same exact thing happened to me. I had 2 sets of datadisk repair kits and I put 1 of each item into them both at the same. Logged out and back in and found 2 wires. Put them both in and nothing.

Ahh, I always wondered what was needed for each. Thanks.
