Thread: Confused, A little help would be great...

After finnaly logging in long enough to have a visit from the old man and kill the sith, I ventured to the Village on dath.
Being a bit ignorant, I talked to and accepted the first mission given to me, the medic/healing mission.Not what I wanted to do at all and soon after found that I was locked into this quest until the next cycle.
what confuses me is this; I talked with the trainer and asked what skills were available to me to learn after i traded in all my acumulated xp.I was able to learn combat prowess (the one I wanted originaly), and infact had enough xp to learn 1 full tree + a novice box in melee accuracy.
Why was I able to learn a full tree in combat prowess when I took the mission for enhanced sences...?
did I unlock combat prowess, meaning I can continue to trade in combat xp or do I need to concentrate on medical xp...?

Seems like you got a free unlock from your holoprofessions
You should talk to Paemos and see if you have even more freebies.
Ask him what you already can laern and you should be able to see if you have unlocks....

I speculate you could learn one full tree was because:
1. u unlocked that tree by completing sufficient professions. (prior to Pub 10)
2. u could complete that tree because u had sufficient excess weapons or combat xp to convert.

Ok so If I recieved a free unlock, can I just continue to fill up the melee accuracy tree (only want the two melee tree's from prowess). And forget about the med xp and wait for the next cycle to take another mission which will allow me to pick a quest that unlocks a tree that I can use combat xp..?
I need 6 tree's filled before I can go from FS to Initiate correct..?

Yeah, you need 24 boxes, or 6 lines in the FS trees.
If you have something that you can unlock for free, you get enough experience to unlock the Novice box and exactly enough for one full line. From there, you have to undertake different quests in order to get the other trees unlocked.
Takes awhile to fill them once you get them, but hey, if you're out playing the game, you won't care.

I believe you can continue to convert normal XP into the FS melee accuracy tree. You can give it a try by hunting some of those siths outside the Village and rack up some and quickly return to the NPC to convert.
Yes you need 6 complete trees before you can go do the FS trials. You will become an Initiate partway thru the trials and then on completion, you will be a full fledged Padawan.
