I can color the sign outside my house and make it look real nice but it's just too long. How can I get it to show 3 lines ? How do I put a returnn in ?
Cheers.

The easiest way is to make sure Copy & Paste are defined keys (check your keymap).
Then just do "/note" and type your sign there.. Then copy & paste it into the Sign Entry dialog.

Here's how to make the buttons to copy/past, since it aint standard ingame:
- Press ctrl+o. That brings up the options window. Now click the Controls tab to the left. Then click the Keymap button at the bottom.
- Now click the chat tab at the top and scroll down until you see “Chat Edit Copy”. Select that and press the Bind button. Press shift+ctrl+c. Then click ok. Do the same for paste except use shift+ctrl+v. You can use different keys, but since the standard ctrl+c and ctrl+v are taken I added shift to the combo.
- Now click Apply, then Ok, and finally Done. You can now copy and paste.

When you type /note or /notepad you get a popup screen, where you can add stuff to remember, like a memo/ note

Ah cool, I didn't know that.
Thanks, I'll try all that when I get home.

/note or /notepad opens your in-game notepad. You can write things you wish to save in there, like customer lists or codes and text for sign names, colors, etc. Type what you want in there (it saves line breaks) and then copy/paste it into the text field of the sign name. That's how you get multi-line sign names.
The information is saved when you close out of notepad. I use notepad so much I made a hotkey for it.
You can also use a new mail or the new macro text screens to create text you wish to c/p into somewhere else.
