Thread: MOB Spawning POIs question

I was bored yesterday so I went to a few POIs that spawn mobs. Usually its a cave or base or some sort. After I went thru it and killed everything I logged out. After returning a few hours later, the place was empty. Do these mobs respawn for you guys? or do they stop spawning forever after you kill them all?

They will respawn, but more than likely it has something to do with the mass of people hitting the POI's and it has been cleared before you got there.

i managed to do the warren and get both badges without having to kill anything, it was completely cleared out, they need to fix it, anyone can do it, even people who have started and played for 10 mins

Yeah I did it without having to anything except get the evidence (no elevator keys, disarming code, or reactor rods), very convenient for me because I was trying to do it as fast as possible but what if I was there to actually do it for the content

Im talking bout non-glowy related POIs tho. You know, the type you dont get badges for. Like the Decay Mite cave in Talus for instance. No one goes there. Its pointless. I just went cus I was bored to death.


I know it has something to do with clearing it because as I was going through the cave, mites were respawning. When i got to the end and finally killed the queen, it cleared out. Even the spawns that were behind me near the entrance were gone. Its as if clearing out the cave means you "finished" this POI and everything goes pooft.


Edit: Im going to try and confirm this by going back to one of these POIs today. If there is spawn, ill clear it out and stay til my buffs run out to see if it respawns.


Note: When i went into the mite cave again, I saw a few red con dots when I used my (control+M) feature, but nothing appeared in my screen. Unlike the first time thru the cave when i cleared it.

i don't think they are respawning, i have had several members of my guild check poi caves everywhere and found they where ALL empty. i could understand one or two but all of them?

I read a post a long time ago that said there was about a 6 hour timer on those POI caves / bases. I have gone through a few of both the base (npc bunker-style building) and cave "dungeons". When I killed off the npcs inside, nothing else spawned. I also found various junk or armor / clothing attachment pieces in the metal containers or bone piles / debris piles. I have returned to these same POI's about 10-12 hours later and found some or all of the npcs had respawned. So perhaps there is a 6 hour delay (or some sort of hour-based timer). I have also had the unfortunate problem of entering a base-styled dungeon that people have camped their character in just to loot the metal containers. The building had bothaggressive (npcs on the outside of the building) and non-aggressive / faction based mobs (inside). Evidentally the character had ok faction with the npcs inside, and would just log on long enough to loot the metal containers, and return to the last room of the bunker to logout. I was in the process of killing the mobs when I noticed on the overhead map & radar another character's "dot" appear. They were in that last room and once they "loaded" into the world, they ran from container to container looting, even though I was obviously halfway through the dungeon. They even had the nerve to ask if the loot was good, as they ran to the container I hadn't opened yet because I was still fighting the last npc for that room.


I would like to see the containers made "untouchable" unless the player has actually worked their way into the dungeon and fought to get the right to loot. It just doesn't seem right to have a character log in long enough to search containers, and log off again without having to deal with the difficult mobs in the room.
