If you group with someone and accept the quest for Melee accuracy, do you have to complete the quest with the same person?

Also, I handed in a datadisk to the Capt, and I got a wp 10k away. Can I hand in another disk to get a closer base?

As long as you're grouped with somebody who has accepted the quest, and you each complete one of the 2 tasks (lower shields/capture commander) you should be fine.

Also, yah, keep looting discs until you find a closer base. It'll make the trek back that much easier.
