Thread: Patch Time

Just got the game, installed it and subscribed for a month. I knew there would be a few patches to download but the updating bit is taking a long time. It has been going for about 30 mins and it says about 2hrs 50mins left, and that number is going up slowly. Can someone confirm for me if it is meant to take this long and can I not play the game and have the updates in the background.

that is VERY normal. i assume you have cable? well, be glad, for 56k, it took my friend 5 hours to update just the last patch...

Not really the right forum for this but......
Yep sounds about right to me last itme I installed it I set off the download at about 7pm it was done about 9 thats with a 512adsl line. If you have JTL as well it will take about another 20mins or so.
Because the patches effect the main exe files you cant play without updating.

As someone who has had to install a few times, yep the patching can take around 45 min to an hour depending on how fast you are raking them in. Second part of your question, I can't answer. Good luck

Thanks for the replies, apologies for it being in the wrong forum, havent been on for long but will get the hang of things pretty soon.
